ROSE'S POV-I'm waiting
That simple sentence changed everything. It exemplified not only fear, but curiosity and worry. Someone, who we assume is Lucius, killed a handful of people. Then, in the Daily Prophet, the names of the people that had died were ordered to where if you looked at the first letter of every name they spelled something. Upon further investigation we realized that this very pattern occurred in every other list of the dead since we had been rescued. Lucius had been messaging us and we hadn't even realized it. After decoding the rest of the lists we sat back and looked at the other messages.

Be prepared
You don't have much time
We tried to look for anything that had to do with location. If we were ever going to find him we needed to know where he is. After scanning through every newspaper article published in the last two months for clues I flopped back on to my bed and groaned. "This is useless. We've looked through everything!" I said feeling agitated. "We'll figure it out." Scorp said encouragingly. "Doubtful." I said. "And meanwhile while we try to figure things out people are dying." I said feeling overwhelmed. "We'll figure it out." He said again. "But what if we don't? People are dying because of us!" I said. There was so much pressure on us. We needed to find Lucius, kill him, and return to our lives. But if we couldn't do that then who knows what would happen! More deaths, more abductions, and maybe even another war. "What if we got help. You know, maybe from our families?" I asked. "No." He said immediately. "Why not? We don't have to do this alone." I said. "We aren't involving anyone else and that's final." He snapped. "Fine." I said as I faced the other way.
We sat in silence for what felt like hours. I was so bloody frustrated. He was being unreasonable. Did it really matter if we "involved anyone else"? We need help. We can't do this alone. I don't know how long it's going to take him to realize it! If we go out in the open, unaware of Lucius's plans, we will die. After a while my anger was just to much. "I think you should go." I said quietly. I had never asked him to leave before. He looked shocked but then he looked angry. "Ok." Was all he said. He walked out the door without another word.
My heart ached. This entire situation was horrifying. It was even scarier to think that we'd be doing it alone. And now Scorp was gone and it was just me and my thoughts. I threw my notebook to the side and lay back on my bed. This would work out. We'd get through it. I had to think positively. But I couldn't. A tear slid down my face, followed by several more. I shouldn't of asked him to leave. But it was to late now. Since I had time on my own and nothing to do, I decided to study. I grabbed my transfiguration textbook and read over some of the things I needed to know for my N.E.W.T.s. After a while I got tiered of reading. I wanted to sleep but was afraid to. What if I had another nightmare? Plagued by my own fear I sat up.
I began to daydream and think about the future. After all of this was over I obviously wanted to be with Scorpius. I then wanted to pursue my career in the ministry. Maybe I'd even have kids. But all of that seemed so far away. After a while I got hungry and headed downstairs. My mum and dad were sitting in the living room watching some muggle movie and Hugo was riding his broom around the backyard. I headed over to the refrigerator and grabbed apple. I then headed back up to my room to continue to wallow in my own self pity. Pathetic right?
I walked up the stairs munching on my apple humming quietly. Once I got to my room I laid back on my bed and turned on my side. As soon as my head turned I screamed. Someone was in my bed right next to me. Without even checking to see who the mystery person was, I threw my apple at their face. Then they screamed. Now, we were both screaming. I opened my eyes which had been closed out of fear to see that it was only Scorpius. He was rubbing his nose which was now turning red. "Bloody hell Rosie! What in the name of Merlin was that for?" He asked still rubbing his nose. "It's called instinct. I didn't really expect another person to be lying in my bed." I said sharply. "I was going to surprise you." He said. "I don't know what you think a surprise is, but it's defiantly not lying in someones bed, waiting for their return." I said coldly. I was still upset about what had happened earlier. "Why are you here." I asked angrily. "I told you. I came to surprise you!" He exclaimed. "What made you feel the need to surprise me?" I asked bitterly. "Well, I felt bad about how we left things earlier. I should have let you explain yourself. So, I came to surprise you. It was supposed to be really romantic. You'd see me on your bed and I'd make a big speech about how stupid I'd acted. You'd find it incredibly charming and immediately forgive me. Then you'd kiss me and we'd snog the rest of the night. But as you can see, things didn't turn out that way." He said gesturing to his nose.
I giggled. It was very thoughtful. It was also incredibly cute. "Ok, I guess I see what you were trying to do." I said. "Good. So now that I didn't get to be extremely romantic like I wanted, can I just apologize so we can move on to the part of the night where we snog?" He asked. "Ok fine." I said with a laugh. "Thank you. Let me just start by saying that I was stupid. I should of listened to you. In fact, I plan on doing that very thing. I want to hear everything you have to say. Also, I should probably add that I really, really love you." He said with a smile. He was such a dork. "Ok. Apology excepted." I said with a grin.
He inched closer and put his hand to my cheek. "We should talk about getting help." I said suddenly. "Later. But right now you're going to shut up, and then I'm going to kiss you!" He said. And that's exactly what happened.
The next few days passed quickly. Eat, study, snog, sleep, repeat. It was a simple schedule that kept my mind off of Lucius. Scorp and I hadn't discussed our fight since he came over that night. He told me that he would listen to my thoughts on getting help but hadn't actually said anything about me actually doing so. It was kind of frustrating to be honest. I felt like we were on a time limit. Everyday we spent waiting around more people died.
My N.E.W.T.s were scheduled for next week. I'd take them throughout the week. In two weeks my arm should be completely healed. Today me and Alice started to look for flats. We want one fairly close to diagon alley. We'd also prefer if it was in a wizarding area. Things would just be easier if we didn't live near muggles. That way we don't have to be careful when using magic.
We had decided that when we finished looking at flats we'd meet Al and Scorpius for lunch. We headed to the cafe we had decided on and slid into an empty booth. We both ordered tea and waited. After and hour they still hadn't shown up and we were both starting to worry. "Maybe we should head over to my house. We can owl them when we get there." I suggested. She nodded and we went home. When we got to my house we found it deserted. There wasn't a person in sight. We flooed over to the burrow. It was empty to, which was strange. It was always filled with different family members. I started to think. Where else could everyone be? We spent the next few hours searching every family members house. Still, nothing.
I was scared. What if something bad had happened. We had checked every place possible. It was as if they had all disappeared out of thin air. "Where else could they be?" Asked Alice. That's when I remembered. When I was younger my parents always told me about a house that belonged to Uncle Harry. They had used it as headquarters during the war. They always told me that if there was a situation in which I was lost or needed help, I should try to make my way there. If I remember correctly, I think it was called 12 Grimauld Place. It was a long shot, but maybe they were there. I told my idea to Alice. We went inside of Uncle Percy's house, where we had previously been searching, and flooed over. As soon as my feet hit the floor I heard screams.
Hey yall! I'm super sorry that this chapter is so short :( I had extreme writers block and I wanted to end on a cliff hanger. I hope you all enjoy! Comment, vote, and keep reading! XOXO
