ROSE'S POV-

After Scorpius landed we set out towards my dads office. I had owled Hugo and asked him to make sure dad wasn't at work at midnight. I told him not to ask questions, just to do as I'd asked. I know that he was at Hogwarts and it would be difficult for him to do anything. But I had faith he'd pull something off. Praying he'd followed through with my commands we all piled into the elevator. It was empty so we could talk. "It's weird seeing you guys look so different." Al commented. Right as I was about to reply the elevator doors opened. We all pressed ourselves against the wall. In walked my father and brother. I had to refrain myself from gasping. My eyes met Scorpius's and he gripped my hand. "Hugo, what could be so important to where you had to drag me from my offfice? I have a lot of work to do and you're supposed to be at Hogwarts!" My dad said. "I know dad, I just really need to talk to you." Said Hugo. He looked around the elevator and our eyes met. He glanced down at Scorpius's entwined hands. His eyes widened. He looked back at my face and squinted, as if he was studying me. My eyes! I realized I'd forgot to change their color. "Ros-" He was cut off when my eyes widened, signalling for him to shut up. "What was that Hugo?" My dad asked. "Sorry, I think I have something caught in my throat." He said as he looked back at me. The elevator doors opened again. "Look, can we just go home and talk there?" Asked my dad. "Sure, yeah. Lets do that." Hugo stuttered. Our eyes met one last time. I gave him a small nod of thanks and he and my dad left.

The elevator doors shut again and we all let out a sigh of relief. "That was close." Alice breathed. "Yeah, it was." I said. "Hugo knew it was me." I said. "How?" Asked Al. "He saw my eyes. I forgot to change the color." I said. "You don't think he'll say anything to your dad do you?" Asked Alice. "No, he wouldn't do that." Said Scorpius taking the words out of my mouth. The elevator doors parted and we stepped out onto the floor my fathers office is on. Swiftly navigating my way to the back of the hallway I used my wand and opened the door. Once inside I went over to the desk. Al and Alice stood guard at the door while Scrop trailed behind me. I hadn't been in my dads office since I was a little girl. Framed moving pictures of my mom, brother and I littered the desk. There was one in praticular that caught my eye. It was of me, Scorpius, and Hugo on Christmas last year. We were all sitting on the couch wearing our Weasley sweaters. Scorp had his arm slung around my shoulder and we were all laughing at something. It was before Lucius had captured us. We all looked so much younger, more innocent.

Completely absorbed in looking at the picture I didn't hear Al and Alice telling us to get down. The next thing I know Scorpius has my arm in a death grip and has pulled me under the desk. I looked at him with wide eyes and he put a finger to his lips. "Thanks for coming with me Ginny. Ron just owled me and said Hugo came from Hogwarts and demanded to speak with him immediately. Ron left some papers in here and asked me to grab them." My mothers voice sounded. I looked at Scorpius nervously. Why of all things did my mother have to come in? She would defiantly find us. I don't know how, but she'd find us. "It's no problem really. Harry asked me to take my time getting home. He said he was really going to try and get Lily to open up to him tonight. Things haven't been going well." She said with a sigh. "That's what I heard. I think it was George who told me the only person she had been really talking to was Rose." My mum said. "Yeah, and now her Al, Alice, and Scorpius are off in France doing Merlin knows what." Ginny said. My mother cirlced over to the side of the desk we were hiding under. Scorpius tighnedn his grip on my hand and we shrank back even farther.

The two women talked for a while longer until my mother found what she was looking for. "Here it is! I guess we can go now." Said mum. I sighed a breath of relief. They were leaving and we could finally carry on with our plans. "Actually, before we go, I want to look for one more thing. Ron used to have a filing cabinet under his desk. Once a month he'd have me come in and organize it. We both know how much of a slob he is. I stopped doing it a few years ago because I didn't have time and I want to see if he's maintained it and kept it clean." My mum said. My heartbeat quickened and I looked at Scorpius. I wondered how my mum would react when instead of a filing cabinet she found two adults she didn't recognize. It would be a different story if it was me she found. But it wasn't me. It was a short blonde girl that looked nothing like her daughter. I heard her footsteps as she neared out hiding spot. I needed to act fast. I looked at Scorpius and nodded in a way that signaled I could handle this.
