ROSE'S POV-

It's been four days since we saw Draco and I'm done. I'm done with Scorpius snapping at me, him moping around, and I'm done with sitting in silence all the bloody time. I know that I can't possible know how Scorp is feeling. He saw his dead dad whose death he was just starting to get over. And then 'boom', he's back. I don't exactly know what this means for us but I know it's not good.

"Scorpius, please talk to me." I begged knowing that over the last week we'd had this fight too many times.  "Leave me alone, Rose." He mumbled. "No. Tell me what you're thinking." I commanded. "I'm thinking about you leaving. Please make my dreams come true." He said sarcastically. "Stop doing that." I snapped. "Doing what?" He asked. "Being passive aggressive and selfish. All I want to do is help you but you can't see past your own self pity to realize I'm here. I want to be here for you and you aren't letting me." I said with a frown.

He reached over and pulled me next to him. "I'm sorry." He said. I stayed silent. "I've been awful to you. I just don't know how to feel. I saw my dead dad. It just doesn't make sense. I've thought of every possible scenario, but nothing adds up! I just don't know what to do." He said as he put his head in his hands. We sat like that for a while until I scooted even closer to him and causing him to look at me. "We're going to be ok." I said softly. I reached up and pulled his face to mine letting the last week fade away.

We pulled apart and he rested his head on top of mine. "Do you want to talk now?" I asked. "I guess." He sighed. "How've you been feeling?" I asked. "I don't really know. Shocked I guess." He said. We sat in silence for a minute. "What do you think's going to happen next?" He asked. "No idea. But I think we should start sending out the fake letters tonight." I said. "I agree. What should we write about?" He asked. "Maybe we should give him a location and say we're meeting Al and Alice there. That way if he takes the bait we can be waiting to trap him." I said. I looked up and Scorpius was staring at me blankly. "Are you ok?" I asked. He didn't answer, just kept staring. Giving his shoulders a little shake he blinked. "Where are we?" He asked. My heart dropped. This couldn't be happening again. "Scorp, we're right outside of the tent." I said carefully. He gave a little jerk and rubbed his eyes.

"What just happened?" He asked. "You forgot where we were." I answered. He looked at the ground. "I thought I'd stopped doing that." He cried out angrily. "I did too." I said honestly. "Can we just forget about it for now? What were we just talking about?" He asked. "I was saying that in our letter we should say we're meeting Al and Alice somewhere. Then, Lucius would show up and we could trap him." I said.

"That's great. But I don't think we should lead him to a location tonight. We haven't sent letters to anyone in a long time and us sending one tonight out of the random will already make him suspicious enough. If we wait then he won't suspect anything." He said. "That makes sense." I said as I stood up. He followed me into the tent and we sat down at the table. Summoning a piece of parchment and quill towards me we started to brainstorm. After about an hour we came up with a final draft.

Al,

I miss you so much. Life's pretty hard without your best mate.Rose was captured by Lucius about a month ago and she still isn't fully healed. We're both dying to know what's going on at home. How's Alice? I hope she's good. The reason I'm owling you is because we think we know why Lucius wants to go back in time. We assume he wants to prevent Voldemort's death. It would make sense, right? It was his master and he wants him to rule again. I'll talk to you again once we have more information. Also, Rose says hello!  -Scorp

We made it seem as if we were completely clueless to what had been happening in the last few months. After all, Lucius doesn't know that we've been meeting Al and Alice. That is, unless Lily told him.

" I don't think that we should send the owl from here." Said Scorpius. "Why not?" I asked. "Because, Lucius was able to find us last time based off of us sending our owls from the tent. If we send the letter from somewhere else it'll throw him off. Also, there's no guarantee he'll actually get this letter. There's no way for him to know we've sent it. I guess that the more we send he might pick up on the owl movement." He said

"That's true. We should pack up, take the cloak, send the letter from a random location, and then put the tent up somewhere else. Then we just need to keep going back to that spot to send all of the other letters." I replied. He nodded and we started to pack things up silently. 10 minutes later we were ready to go. With our bags in hand we apparated to another forest and sent the letter from a small clearing. Marking the clearing with a scarf around one of the trees, we left and traveled about a hundred feet up the hill that overlooked the clearing. We were close enough to where we would probably here if something happened but far enough so he wouldn't know where we were.

We set up the tent and decided to go to sleep. Not even an hour after we'd turned the lights out we heard an explosion. It wasn't right next to us but close enough to wake us both up. Scorpius grabbed my hand with one of his and slid his wand into the other. Silently we climbed out of bed and made our way over to the window. The silver moonlight poured in as soon as we opened the curtain. Another explosion went off and the tent shook.

"Do you think Lucius took the bait?" I asked quietly. "He must of. He obviously thinks we're down there." He whispered, pointing over the hill where we had sent the letter and tied the scarf. We'd positioned the tent in such a way where we could see exactly what was happening. Out of nowhere Lucius appeared and the scene began to unfold. "I know you're both here. Surrender yourselfs now and no gets hurt." He said in a loud voice. He must of put a spell on his voice making it louder. Silence followed his statement and Scorpius and I glanced at each other nervously.

"I didn't want to have to do this." He said threateningly. I squeezed Scorpius's hand even harder. "Lily." He called out. Walking from where she had been hidden amongst the trees Lily stood in front of Lucius. Even from a distance you could tell that she was in pain. Being at least two heads shorter than him she stood with her shoulders slumped and her head hanging low looking small and useless. She didn't speak and if she did the echoing charm didn't detect anything.

"Are you going to talk to me?"  He snapped. When she didn't answer he sent a sharp slap across her face which echoed throughout the forest. She staggered to the right but remained quiet. "I thought you knew what they were up to." He hissed. "I never said that. You took me and assumed." She said, finally speaking. My heart skipped a beat. Had she said what I thought she'd said? "Me taking you has nothing to do with this." He jeered. That confirmed it. He had taken Lily. She hadn't been trying to sell us out after all. We'd all been so quick to assume that she'd gone back to her previous ways.

"They sent a letter from this spot two hours ago. They're here and probably listening to this right now. If you know anything tell me now or I'll kill you." I said. Her head shot up and she straightened her shoulders. "You won't kill me. You need me." She said trying to cover up the shakiness of her voice. "Why would I need you aren't giving me any information?" He said. He changed positions turning in a circle as to address the entirety of the forest.

"I know that you're here Rose and Scorpius. If you don't come out to surrender yourselves then I'll kill your precious Lily right here. You have half an hour to come out." He said. I turned to Scorpius. "We need to go out there. He's going to kill her. He can't kill her."  I said, my voice cracking at the end of the sentence. "We can't, Rose. You know that." He said. I yanked my hand from his and he looked shocked. "Why can't we? We wanted to lure Lucius here to kill him anyway! Why not do it now?" I shouted. The hard look he was giving me softened. "You're right. I'm sorry, let's go."

No sooner had the words left his mouth before Lucius's rang out again. "I changed my mind you're taking too long." Both of our heads whipped around to look out of the window. With his wand pointed straight at Lily's chest he cried out the words I never wanted to hear. "Avada Kedavra!"

Hey guys! I'm soooooooo sorry. I'm pretty sure that this is the longest I've gone without updating. School started and life got crazy. I know that this chapter is kind of short. My goal for every chapter is 2,000 words and I just couldn't with this one. Again, I'm really really sorry. Pleaseeeeee keep reading, commenting, and voting. I love y'all! XOXO
