ROSE'S POV-
They say on your wedding day you're nervous. Yet, when I woke up the day I was to be married, I felt no anxiety whatsoever. The only thing I felt was groggy. I rolled out of bed and caught my reflection in the mirror. My hair was crazier than it had been in weeks. Half of it stuck up in every direction and the other lay matted to the side of my head. I groaned and tried to comb it out with my fingers. No luck. Deciding I'd have Aunt Fleur fix it later, I pulled it up into a sloppy bun. I opened the door and walked down the stairs. As I was walking into the kitchen I was thrown against the wall. "OW!" I yelled rubbing my head. Alice popped up next to me and grinned apologetically. "What the hell was that for?" I asked angrily. "Scorpius is in there." She said. "And? I'm hungry. Move so I can eat." I demanded. "Sorry, but no can do. You can't see the groom until you walk down the aisle or you'll have bad luck." She said.
"Alice, that's just a silly muggle superstition. Now please move." I begged. "No! You're the one who wanted a muggle wedding and that's what you're getting." She said bossily. "I only wanted a muggle wedding because that's what I've dreamed about since I was a little girl. I didn't think I'd have to follow any of the rules and traditions." I said. "Well you do. Now, go upstairs. I'll bring you breakfast in a minute. Fleur should be up in a few minutes to work on.....that." She said gesturing to my hair. "Fine." I said with a grunt. I marched up the stairs and flopped on my bed. Minutes later Aunt Fleur, Victoire, Dom, Alice, Roxy, Lucy, and mum flooded into the room.
"Sit here." Commanded Aunt Fleur as she pointed to a chair in front of a mirror. I sat and she pulled my hair out of its bun. Everyone gasped. "What did you do?" Shrieked Dom. "Nothing, absolutely nothing." I said. "It's naturally like that?" Asked Roxy. "On a bad day, yes." I said with a laugh. "It'z ok. I can feex it." Said Aunt Fleur. After an hour and a half of having my hair pulled, yanked, and practically ripped my hair from my skull, she was done. She wouldn't let me see it though. She then proceeded to pinch, squeeze, and pat the hell out of my face. Another hour later she was done. I turned around and gasped.
At lot of weddings you see girls made up to look like completely different people. But I looked like, well, me. My curls had been tamed and pulled pack into an elegant, yet somewhat messy updo. A few ringlets framed my face. Speaking of my face, well, I can't even begin to start. My eye makeup was fairly dark. Or, at least, darker than I would usually wear. Aunt Fleur had mixed browns and purples in such way that my emerald eyes practically popped. Everything else was pretty simple. My lashes were coated in mascara and my lips had a nude, glossy color on them. Still stunned by my appearance, hadn't spoken. "Zoo you like eet?" Aunt Fleur asked. I nodded furiously.
"Now, your dress." Victorie said. I had yet to see my dress. I gave Victoire a brief outline of what I wanted. Nothing to puffy, frilly, or lacy. I wanted to look like me. Not some girl out of a catalog. Facing away from the mirror Victorie helped me slip into the dress. She zipped it up and I turned around. I gasped again. It was long, gathering around the bottoms of my feet. There wasn't much design. It was just sleek and white. It hugged all of my curves in all of the right places. it flared out a tad bit starting around my knee. Since it had a sweetheart neckline Alice had clipped on a necklace. It was small and simple. I looked closer to see it had a piece of silver and a piece of an emerald in it. My hand flew to my mouth and tears sprung to my eyes.
"This is all just so perfect." I blubbered. "Don't cry, you vill ruin your meekup." Commanded Aunt Fleur. Carefully, I wiped my eyes. A few moments later the door flew open and Lily stumbled in. Looks of disgust covered most people's faces. Her smile disappeared when she noticed. "I just came up here to tell you the wedding starts in 30 minutes." She said as she looked at the ground. "Thanks Lily!" I said brightly. She gave me a small smile and left. "Why are you so nice to her?" Asked Lucy. "She's my cousin." I said. "But she hurt Al and helped torture you." Said Roxy. "I know. I still haven't completely forgiven her, and I doubt I ever will. But she made a mistake. I'm not going to hold that over her forever and neither should any of you." I snapped. The awkward silence was broken by a knock on the door.
