"Hey mom, I just wanted to let you know that I'm back! It took shorter than I thought it would to get all of the stuff set and on its way back to the house, thanks for letting me stay there even though it's only until I find an apartment. Love you, bye." You hit the red button as you then locked your phone and placed it in your pocket, you only had a carry-on sized suitcase with you, well, rolling behind you as you walked down the familiar streets of Iwatobi.

You would have been going in the opposite direction if it wasn't the fact that your parents had moved into the neighborhood that Makoto and Haruka had lived in while they were children, and in high school.

You sighed as you walked into the familiar sub-division, as Americans called it. Having to look at the numbers on the houses to tell which one was yours or not. You finally found it, and waked up to the door, knocking only once before it was pulled open, and your mother welcomed you with a big bear hug.

"Sweetie! I'm so glad you're home, sorry I couldn't answer earlier, I was too busy talking to Makoto's mother, she stopped by once I told her the news earlier!" Your mother smiled as your face stiffened and you ran past her, going inside the living room.

"Ms. Tachibana! Please do not tell Makoto or Haruka that I'm back in Iwatobi yet, it would help me out very much if I told them in person." You bowed to her as she chuckled.

"Oh y/n, Makoto lives on his own now after he graduated about four years ago, he's a swimming coach now and co-owns the Iwatobi Swim Club." Makoto's mother laughed as you sighed in relief.

"But you might want to tell Haru...he was so devastated when you left." She looked at the ground, a sad gleam in her eyes.

You knew how much it hurt him when you left without saying goodbye, right after a fight where you had broken up with him. No reason, except for the fact that you were going to america, but he didn't know you were leaving so soon.

You listened to all of the voicemails and read all of the text messages he had sent you. It had broken your heart to read them.

But soon, the messages stopped coming and the voicemails were only once a week. He must have hit a wall, or unless he realized how hard it was making you feel.

"I-I know." You sighed as you got your luggage, thanking Ms. Tachibana as you went upstairs, putting your suitcase in your old room, before going back downstairs with only your wallet and phone in hand, you knew where you would go first.

"Ah, you have done very well today class, see you tomorrow!" Makoto waved them goodbye as you stood in the doorway behind him, the one leading to the changing rooms as you had sneakily made your way over here with Coach Sasabe's help.

He turned around to go get changed when his eyes met with yours, and widened in surprise. "Y/n!" He exclaimed as he wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace, nearly squeezing the life out of you. You only had on some nike running spandex, (the long spandex that goes down to ur like mid-calf I dot freaking know what it is called.) a loose fitting t-shirt, one of the many you had gotten in America as they were trending. And some sandals imported from Germany, called birchenstocks. You hadn't known the world of modern fashion, and yet you were now comfortably fashionable in Japan, even though it would be seen as improper in the workforce.

You were twenty-five now, along with Makoto and Haru probably as Makoto finally released his grip on you.

"Have you-"

"No. I haven't told Haru I'm back yet. I'm honestly scared to Makoto, what if he hates me for leaving him back then?" You asked as he shook his head, scoffing at the comment.
