The guy on TV was hot.
He had brown hair and hazel eyes that seemed to entrap me when he looked at the camera.
He had a strong jaw and muscular arms that he showed off by wearing a white T-shirt.
"Josh Trevor is my idol!" May gushed. "Emerald Parker is so lucky!"
"Do you watch this show just to gawk at Josh?" I teased.
"Hey! Just a few seconds ago you were checking him out too!" She raised her eyebrows at me and grinned.
"Shut up! I watch this show because of the dancers, not the stupid judges."
She gasped. "Don't you dare call Josh Trevor stupid!"
"His job is to judge amazing dancers when he can't even dance himself! He's just on this show because he's a heartthrob and girls go crazy over him."
"He can dance! He won season five, remember?"
"That was three years ago, May!"
"How about you stop talking, okay?"
I rolled my eyes. "I have to get to work now."
She didn't bother saying goodbye. Her eyes were glued to the TV and a dazed expression fell upon her face.
...
"Hey Amanda!"
The red-haired woman turned around so she could see me. "Hey Jess! I want you to know that I was very impressed at how you helped those kids understand the dance moves yesterday."
"Thanks."
"In-fact, I have a bit of a promotion for you."
"What do you mean?"
"I recommended you to the producers of 'Phenomenon' and they've been needing an assistant choreographer-" she paused. "This may sound hard to believe, but you're the new assistant choreographer!"
"You're serious?"
"Yes! The lead choreographer wants to talk to you later."
"Emerald Parker wants to talk to me?" I gasped.
"Yes! She's super excited to meet you in person!"
"I...I can't believe this."
"Aren't you excited?"
"Are you kidding me? Phenomenon is my favorite show! My sister is a huge fan too! She's going to freak!"
"At the end of season nine they are going to plan a huge dance-off between Josh and Emerald and you are going to be the choreographer!"
"Wait! I'm working with Josh Trevor?"
"Yes! Isn't he cute?"
