I sat against the wall with my head pressed up against it. My eyes were flooded with tears as I held my phone up to my face.

"Have you found her yet?" I asked in a weak voice. My hand shook a little as I held my phone against my damp cheek.

"No, we haven't," my dad breathed into the phone. "What has gotten into her?"

"I don't know." I closed my eyes. "I really don't know."

"We have the police looking everywhere! She is in big trouble!"

"Forget about the stupid boyfriend thing already! All I care about is her getting home safe."

"We don't need to talk about this right now, Jessabelle. I need you to track her on your phone."

"What am I? A hacker?"

"I need you to use her social media for this, okay? Check to see if she added locations to any of her new posts."

"She hadn't been on her phone lately."

"We need to go off of something! We can't just roam the streets looking for her!"

"Go to her boyfriend's house," I almost whispered.

"Do you know where he lives?"

"346 East Ashman."

"Okay. I have to go now, Jessabelle."

I threw my phone to the ground and then I fell down against the floor.

I needed to do something! Sitting around wasn't going to help find May!

I got up and I walked outside. The darkness seemed to consume me as I walked farther and farther into it.

I was going to find my sister, no matter what.

I got in my car and I sped off.

The city lights lit up the darkness. Cars zoomed by and traffic thickened.

My eyes were blinded by tears. I was scared. In fact, I was scared to death! My sister could have been kidnapped!

She was one of the only specks of light left in my life! And now, that speck was gone and my world was consumed by darkness. Pain.

I put my foot to the gas pedal.

Faster.

A tear streamed down my face.

Faster.

Another one followed.

Faster.

Everything was blurred by tears.

Faster.

Faster.

Faster!

Everything went black.

• Sorry for the super short chapter, but I feel like the shorter it is, the more impact.

You should moment and vote of you liked it, though.
