Chaptet Thirteen

Raven groans in agony. His chest feels tight, as if it is caving in on itself. He tries to sit up and pain races through his body making him gasp at how much worse it feels when he moves. A gentle hand on his shoulder pushes him back down onto the make shift bed.

Huh a bed of flowers. That's a first.

Raven looks up and his forest green eyes meet the warm chocolate brown of Mother Earth's. His eyes widen in shock and he opens his mouth to say something when he is stopped by Mother putting a finger to her lips signaling to be quiet. She points to the right and Raven notices for the first time since awakening The Great Oak. His eyes scan the tree and a figure in white catches his eye. It's Selene.

Raven immediately sits up, ignoring the pain that shoots through him. Mother immediately pushes him back down and quietly starts talking to him.

"she's fine physically, but she used a lot of magic and it took its toll on her mind." She informs him as the familiars and alicorn look at him mournfully.

"what's wrong with her?" Raven asks worriedly.

"Some of her memories have been lost." Mother replies mournfully.

"Which memories?" He asks, fear rapidly growing inside of him.

"I scanned her mind and all the memories from late last night and early this morning are gone." Mother replies mournfully. Raven's heart shatters.

"So she doesn't remember we're mates?"

"No, and you can't tell her, she must remember on her own or the damage could increase."

Their conversation is interrupted by Selene stirring. Raven rushes over to her and kneels down next to her. her eyes flutter open and their eyes lock. He reaches down and brushes the hair out of her face. She freezes and just stares at him. SLAP! Raven head snaps to the side.

"You perverted pointy-eared freak! Were you molesting me in my sleep or something!" Selene screeches at him in anger. Raven's cheek stings.

"What was that for, you stupid brat!?" Raven yells back in anger.

"Brat really! We are the same freaking age!"

"Ha that's funny! We may be the same age but I have a much higher maturity level you!"

"You really want to go there Mr. Dickless!"

"Oh trust me it's there it just doesn't want a walking STD!"

"Are you sure you aren't talking about yourself because unlike you I have some preference, you'll do it with anything on two legs!"

"At least I can get some. No sane man will touch you with a fifty foot pole!"

"So does that mean your insane cause you were just touching me or were you just thinking with the head between your legs instead of the one on your shoulders!"

"You should just feel grateful some guy finds you attractive!"

"I'm surprised your into girls at all cause your acting like a girl on her time of the month!"

"Ohhh BURN!!" Klaus yells from the background.

"SHUT UP KLAUS!!!" Both Selene and Raven yell.

"Jeez you make one comment and they want to kill you." Klaus jokes.

"Klaus now is not the time." Raven says through clenched teeth.

"Your just pissy because she questioned your manhood." Klaus teases him.

"Klaus you are digging your own grave." Raven says irritably.

"And what a wonderful grave it will be. I prefer black roses at my funeral." Klaus jokes.

"Why black?" Raven questions.

"It's the color of your soul." Klaus replies.

"What does the color of my soul have to do with anything?"

"It has to do with EVERYTHING!"

"Why did I do to deserve you as a familiar?"

"I ask myself that question everyday. I'm way too good for you."

"Isn't it the other way around?"

"No because I've never been slapped by a woman. Three times in three days, I think that's a new record."

"Shut Up You Stupid Cat!"
