Chapter 11 - Kiss me softly

My eyes opened to the sight of angels. Two of them in fact. They were carefully carved out and painted on my new bedroom ceiling.

'Temporary bedroom,' I reminded myself. I had no intentions of staying here longer than actually necessary.

I yawned and stretched my hands over my head and the top of my short, burgundy silk pajamas rode up to exposed my flat toned stomach. I looked at the small clock which was next to my bed and saw that it was only 6:30am. I guess old habits die hard since I'm accustom to getting up early.

I looked around my room from where i lay, and i had to admit that the room was even more beautiful during the day. I contemplated getting up but I decided to lazed in bed a little while longer. I'll have to face the music sooner or later but right now i prefer if it was later. My mind ran back to last night after we left the hospital.

My so called mates and their dad came with us to our home so that my mom and Harry could collect some of my family's things. Surprisingly, when we got there, there weren't any signs that a fight had taken place. The only thing that remained was a heavy feeling in the air which sent chills down my spine.

Draven, Don and their dad waited in the living room while my mom and Harry went and gathered what they needed. I grabbed Ash's hand and pulled him with me as I went to check out my old room. I smiled when I saw that my room was exactly the same as when I left home all those years ago. Ash bounced on my bed while I opened drawers and looked around, reminiscing about the good old days.

I was by the bookshelf, going through some old books, when Ash looked under my mattress and found my old diary. I narrowed my eyes at him as an evil grin came to his face.

He bolted from the room and ran down the corridor and down the stairs. Hot on his heels, I ran behind him and eventually we ran out the front door. I needed to get back that damn book! Ash would make my life a living hell!

Ash sprinted in the direction of a huge tree and quickly climbed it and balanced on a shaky branch. I couldn't climb to save my life, so I let out a frustrated breath as my eyes shot daggers up at him from the ground.

"Ash, get your fucking ass out of the tree and give me back my bloody book!" I demanded.

"What book?" he asked as he sat on the tree branch. "Oh you mean this diary over here?" he waved the book at me. "Hmmm, I wonder what's inside." He opened the book and skimmed through the pages. When he reached somewhere in the middle he started to read.

"Dear Dairy, I think I am in lust -"

"Ash stop! Please. Don't. I'll do anything," I told him desperately as I cut off his words. I knew exactly what he was going to read.

"Define anything," he asked smugly.

I mind scampered for something to negotiate with. "I'll-I'll do your laundry for a week."

"Make it two," he retorted with a smirk. "What else?"

I glared at him and wondered if he was related to the devil.

"I won't kill you when you come down from that bloody tree," I told him through clenched teeth.

"You aren't going to kill me anyways and we both know it. You can't survive without me," he told me with an evil grin. "And even if you do kill me, chances are I will record your deepest darkest secrets for others to find."

I stomped my foot in frustration. Damn that boy!

"What do you want Ash?" I asked frustratedly.

"Breakfast for a month," he told me instantly. No one loved their stomach more than Ash. "And I mean the good stuff. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, stuff like that. I don't want cardboard in a box."
