Taylor's POV

I wake up, unknown of my surroundings for a split second. Opening my eyes, I see I'm in my bedroom. I decide not to think much of it and turn around on the bed and sigh.

"Good evening."

My eyes snap open and at first they are casted over by sleep, leaving me unable to see. After a few seconds, I see a tall figure sitting on the edge of the bed beside.

"Dan?"

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm fine..." I say not understanding what he means.

"I just wanted to make sure. You know you fell asleep out in the living room right?"

Oh.

"Ugh I'm sorry you probably had better things to do then keeping an eye on me," I say feeling horrible for wasting his day.

"No...no I didn't."

"Uh...ok..." I mutter not sure of what to say.

I have no idea what time it is. I grab my phone out of my right pocket.

8:49 a.m.

"Oh my god, it's late. Why are you still here? Shouldn't you have gone back to your apartment?"

"Eh, maybe but you feel asleep and Mackenzie is still out, but she is on her way here now," Dan explains.

"Ok good. If you're ready to get home, I wouldn't mind."

"Well, I really don't want to leave, but I don't want to worry Phil," he says as he grabs hold of my hand sticking out from beneath the blanket.

"What are you doing?" I ask teasingly.

"Leaving."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah," he says, not moving at all.

"Dan?"

"Mhh?" he mumbles, staring at our hands as he unconsciously rubs small circles on the back of my hand with his thumb.

"You shouldn't worry Phil. Honestly, you should have been home hours ago," I explain.

"I know," Dan says quite disappointed.

"It's ok. There are so many other days we can hang out. I'll text you tomorrow. Go home and get some rest."

Dan sighs. "Alright, but only because you said I should."

We each get up off the bed, still hand in hand. We each walk up to my door and Dan opens the door and waits for me to go first.

"Go, Dan," I say gesturing towards to the door with my free hand.

"Why can't you just accept it and go through the door?" he asks. Not in a rude way, just more of a confused way.

"Because I've always been the person to get the door. I always walk behind everyone, so when someone holds open the door, I get it so they don't have to go in last," I explain.

"Well, I think it's time to change that."

Without further argument (and a small sigh), I walk through the door. Dan closes the door behind us and we walk down the hall and head to the front door. Now it's my turn to open the door for Dan since it is my apartment.

"I'm not even gonna argue...Are you sure I should go? I could just text Phil," he asks.

He walks out into the hall and I stand in the doorway, us keeping our hand together.

"No, you should go. You should be able to sleep comfortably in your own bed tonight. We can talk tomorrow."

"Ok, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good night, Taylor."

"Good night, Dan," I say, and I finally let go of his hand.

I wait until he turns to head down the stairs before I start to close the door.

"Wait, Taylor!" I hear.

I open the door back up to see Dan looking down at me. He grabs my hand and continues to look at them. He intertwines our fingers. My hands are sweating. Why do I have to have clammy hands?

"Yeah, Dan?"

"I....I hand a nice time today. And I'm really..really glad you're said yes."

" 'Yes' to what," I ask.

".....to be my girlfriend," he says, blushing slightly.

"Oh."

"Good night, Taylor," he says. He leans down towards me, and before I know it......
