Security Detail (Neptune x Writer)

First Request (6 Months later)

     As I was at my post today, I kept on hearing the 2 girls whispering to each other. I didn't hear what exactly they were talking about, but I heard my name being mentioned several times. Perhaps it was another promotion? Whatever. Just stay focused on guarding. Around 30 minutes later, I heard footsteps coming toward the door. I stood tall. The door opened and Neptune came out into the hallway closing the door behind her. She looked nervous.

-"Something wrong Neptune?"

-"N-not really..."

-"Then why are you shaking?"

-"B-because I wanted to...ask you something."

-"You can ask me anything Neptune!"

     She blushed as I said that. Why though?

-"O-okay...Riley."

     She took a deep breath before speaking.

-"W-would you be interested in...going out sometime?"

     My heart skipped a beat as soon as she said that. Go out?! As like a date?! I thought she would've asked something different like: "Let's go on patrol!" or "Let's go fight some Dogoo's!" I could see the anticipation in her eyes. It was sooo cute! How could I say no? I put my hand on her shoulder.

-"Of course I would!"

-"R-really?"

     She looked at me with a heartwarming smile.

-"You pick the time and the place, and I'll be there!"

-"Alright! Gimme some time to think about the specifics!"

-"You got it!"

     With that, she skipped back in her room. At the end of the day, she came back out of her room and said:

-"Tomorrow's Saturday, right?"

-"Yeah."

-"Good, meet me here at 1:00 PM tomorrow. Got it?"

-"Understood."

-"Dismissed champ!"

The next day

     I arrived at her room at 1:04 PM and knocked on her door.

-"Neptune, I'm here. Are you ready?"

     I heard her call from inside the room.

-"Gimme a minute!"

     It was 1:15 when she finally came out of her room.

-"Sorry I'm late. I woke up a bit too late this morning."

-"It's fine. So where are we going?"

-"I figured we could go around Planeptune and find something that looks fun!"

-"Sounds good!"

     We made our way to the balcony. I jumped off and landed on one knee. Neptune floated down next to me.

-"You're just trying to be cool!"

-"You caught me there."

     Most of the day was just wandering around Planeptune talking to each other along with the occasional "pudding break" but I didn't mind at all. Just being able to go out with her made me happy! Neptune called out to someone in the distance.

-"Hey! Noire!"

     Oh, it's just Noire...Wait...NOIRE!?!?!? Why was she here?! Neptune was already running towards Noire before I knew what was happening. I ran after her. My suit helped a lot with my speed and stamina.
