I've decided to tell you about my experience with the 1989 World Tour. As I mentioned in My Swiftie Story, I found out about it in February 2015. My dad had gotten tickets and was planning on giving them as a surprise later, but we found out sooner. I spent the next few months jamming out to Taylor Swift songs and being excited. The actual concert was on a Friday and I got to miss school driving there. Four hour drive, anyone? The concert was in the Rogers Stadium and we were in the closest hotel, besides the one attached to the stadium. I was so excited once we got to the hotel, it was only a few more hours. We had dinner at Fionn MacCool's across the street from the stadium and it (along with all other restaurants in the area) was packed with teen and pre-teen girls. At the concert, I bought a T-shirt, a hoodie and a book with photos of Taylor during a concert and all her dancers and band and background vocalists. The opening acts were amazing. Shawn Mendes was so cute and amazing standing up there with just a guitar and Vance Joy was really good too. Then, it was time for Taylor. She looked so amazing and the concert was so much more than I could ever dream of. I screamed my head off and danced. One of my favourite things ever was the bracelets, so she could see each one of us. Even my dad danced, and if you knew him, you'd know even buying the tickets would be rare for him to do. The bracelets were so sparkly and awesome when everyone's was lit up. My favourite part of the entire thing was the grand finale, Shake It Off. I could live in the moment of the concert forever. And the best part was, I was like a typical fanfic character and I was sitting so far back, so obviously she caught my eye and started singing directly to me. Note the sarcasm.
