"You know", I spoke, twirling a piece of grass with my fingers. "I thought ghosts would be different, but it's almost as if you're alive...just colder."

Jungkook and I were now laying in the lush grass next to the lake, staring up at the clear sky.

"What did you think? I'd be a floating bed sheet? Or maybe Casper the friendly ghost?", he said while laughing at me.

"Well no!", I laughed. "I just thought you'd be more transparent...or maybe I wouldn't be able to touch you. Like you see in the movies."

"Well normally, I can only be seen when I want to be, and you can't feel me unless I touch you. Yet for some reason, you can see and feel me at all times...", he said with a sense of confusion in his voice.

"You know, my grandma mentioned something about that to me. She said she's had some experience with the supernatural, and from what she knows, there's a reason I can see you at all times. She says I'm supposed to help you. I don't know how yet...", I said looking over at him, as he stared up at the sky above him. He was so beautiful.

"I knew there was something special about you...the day I saw you looking at me from your grandparents' driveway. You saw me even though I didn't intend for you to.", he spoke, turning his head towards me.

We just looked at each other for a bit in silence. Not awkward silence. But a calming silence. I had the urge to kiss him, and I had a feeling he did too, but we both knew that couldn't happen.

As the sun was setting, the temperature was dropping, chilling my still wet skin. We were now walking back up the road to go home.

Jungkook looked down at me and noticed me shivering. A look of sadness washed over his face.

"I wish I could warm you up, Lily.", he spoke softly.

"It's ok, Jungkook. I'm fine.", I said, giving him a weak smile. He only nodded in response, looking at is feet.

"I have a random question.", he said, looking down at me. "What's the average temperature of the human body?", he asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"Uh 98?", I said, not being sure of myself.

He let out a sigh. "I'd give anything to be that warm again. I'd give anything to be able to warm you up.", he said, now turning his gaze back to the ground.

"Well Jungkook...maybe you can.", I said, thinking about what my grandma said.

"Hm?"

"Well you know how I said my grandma mentioned that I was meant to help you? She mentioned that I'm supposed to either guide you to the light...or bring you back.", I said, looking up into his hopeful brown eyes.

"You can do that?", he said, shocked. "Can you bring me back?"

"Well don't get you're hopes up, because honestly, I don't know what I can do. But if my grandma is right, then somehow...I might be able to."
