Chapter 42

*Jamies pov*

I sat in the bathroom the whole night, I didn't sleep at all, I heard a knock

"Jamie you done?" Glenn asked

"Yeah, I'll be out in a few"

I looked at myself in the mirror, I had bags under my eyes and a bruise on my cheek bone, I washed my face then left the bathroom, everyone was out exploring again except Daryl, he was sitting on the porch

"Morning" he said, I sat next to him and said morning back

He looked into my eyes like he was searching for something

"Somethings wrong" he said while touching my bruised cheek bone

I shook my head

"Nothing's wrong, I'm fine, just don't know what to think of this place"

"It's a joke" he said I agreed

"Jamie! Come here" I heard Glenn tell, I said bye to Daryl and walked to Glenn

"Me, Tara, Noah and you are going on a run, that's our jobs"

I nodded I was fine with it and we walked to the people who were going to help

"Glenn Tara Noah and Jamie?" We all nodded

"Good to meet you I'm Aidan, this is Nicholas, you met him when he was on gate duty"

"Your Deannas son?" Glenn asked

"That's right, I hear you've got experience with making supply runs" Aidan said

"I saw your pantry, you guys seem to do pretty well" Glenn said

"I had some training before this, ORTC, come on I'll show you the ropes" Aidan said

"We're going on a run today?" Tara asked

"Just a dry run, just to show you the terrain outside the walls see how you do"

"What about weapons" I asked

"We pulled out some sweet ass biscuits for today" Aidan said point towards the weapons that Nicholas was holding, they were small pistols, I took mine and checked the ammo. These were nothing compared to what I've used.

"We increase our radius mile by mile, make a semi circle around the town, we made it 53 miles out so far" Aidan said

"We're standing here because we lost 4 people the other day" Nicholas said

"What happened?" Noah asked

"We were on a run, walkers came out, they didn't follow the system, they were good people"

"I can be a hard ass a douche bag, but someone has to call the ball around here and that's me" Aidan said, I don't like him at all he looks like an asshole.

"If your on this crew you do exactly as I say"

"Asshole" I muttered under my breath and we kept walking

"We managed to catch one of the dead ones, we strung it up over there" Nicholas said

"What, why?" Glenn asked

"We have a little pre game ritual" Aidan said, then we walked up to chains that had blood and skin on it, they must of not tied it good enough

"Son of a bitch!" Aidan yelled

"Help me find it"

Then Nicholas whistled loudly,

"Hey hey!! You wanna attract every walker for miles?!" I yelled

"It's gone" Glenn said

"It took down one of our friends, its nearby were not letting it go" Aidan said back

Then the walker walked right in front of Aidan they were calling at it and trying to get it back in the chains

I pulled my knife out, getting ready to kill it when Tara got knocked over by the walker, she was struggling to kill it, so I ran up and stabbed it in the head

"What the hell!!" Aidan yelled at me

"Yeah what the hell!" Tara yelled back

"You almost got her killed you son of a bitch!" I yelled at Aidan and Nicholas

"I told you all to stay back! I told you to listen to every damn thing I said I told you that" Aidan yelled in my face

I was right in front of his face, I gave him a cold glare then started walking back.

We got back to the camp and we all walked in pissed,

"You 4 need new gigs, your not ready for runs yet"

"I'm pretty sure you got that backwards" I said

"Hey, hey" Aidan said the grabbed my shoulder "look we got a way of doing things around here"

"You tie up walkers" I spat

"It killed our Friend, I'm not having this conversation, you obey my orders out there"

"Then your just as screwed as your last friends" I said

By now most everyone was watching us

Aidan got closer to me then pushed my shoulder then he did it again

"No ones impressed man, just walk away" I growled

"Hey what is going on!" Deanna yelled

"She got a problem with how we do things.... Why did you let these people in" Aidan said

"Because we actually know what we're doing out there" I said.

Then Aidan threw a punch but I dodged it then hit him in the face with my elbow which caused him to fall to the ground

"Hey!! Hey that's enough" Deanna yelled

Nicholas then started to come at me then Daryl pushed him to the ground and got on him I started to walk towards Nicholas then Rick grabbed me

"Not now" he said, I growled and balled my fist

"I want everyone to hear me ok, Rick and his people are part of this community, and always will as equals, understood..... All of you turn in your weapons"

I sighed and started walking towards the house.
