Chapter 36

*Jamie's POV*

We have buried Beth somewhere by a beautiful tree. Gabriel said a prayer and  Glenn said some nice things about her since Maggie was to shaken up. After that Rick was talking about Noah's hometown, they have walls and there are about 20 of them living there. Noah thinks they are all still there and I don't blame him but I don't think they are but maybe.

Me, Rick, michonne, Noah, tyreese and Glenn were going to go check it out while the rest stays back

"How far out?" Rick asks Noah

"5 miles" Noah says and Rick nods, I was in the very back seat with Glenn.

"Hey, carol" Rick says into the walkie talkie

"I'm here" she responded

"We're half way there, I just wanted to check the range" Rick says

"Every body is holding tight" carol says

"Give us twenty minutes to check in" Rick says

"If we don't hear from you we'll come looking" she said

"Copy that" he said then set the walkie down

Noah and tyreese were talking but I didn't listen, I looked out of the window instead. I carefully watched as we passed a halfway burnt down house

"2 more miles" I heard Noah say then I started to listen

"Alright, let's pull into the woods, then go on foot. Stay off the road" Rick said

"But we don't need to" Noah said

"Just in case" Rick said, I took a big breath then took out my knife and played with it in my hands

Then I saw Glenn hold a CD in his hand then he broke it in half, I looked at the CD and chuckled to myself, I used to love breaking CDs.

We parked the car in the woods by a car wreckage so our car would look like it was part of the wreckage. Then we traveled on foot.

We were looking straight at the gates, and Noah started shaking them

"Hey knock it off, your going to attract walkers" I said putting my hand on his shoulder

I climbed the gate and looked over, it was a ghost town no one in sight, some of the houses were burnt, I jumped back down and shook my head, Noah then jumped on the gates then jumped over

"Wait Noah!" I yelled then jumped over after him then the rest jumped over after me, I was catching up to Noah. He was mumbling things to himself

"Noah hold up" I said "Noah wait" but he kept on running I ran after him with the rest behind me, he finally stopped and started crying and yelling out no, then he fell to the ground sobbing. I put my hands on his shoulders

"It's alright" I said trying to comfort him, I wasn't really good at comforting people.

"We need to search the places, see if we need anything then head back" Rick said

"Then what" michonne said

But Rick didn't say anything then michonne went to kill the three walkers who were stupidly limping towards us, tyreese said he will stay with Noah while the rest of us do a quick sweep for supplies. I went a different direction then Rick, michonne and Glenn. I walked into a house with my bow raised in front of me, I check the living room first, then the other room. Then I headed upstairs, I kicked one door open and there was a walker I shot it with an arrow, the walker fell to the ground then I retrieved my arrow.

I looked in other room and kind of filled my bag with two cans of soup, a switch blade and some gum. I then heard yelling, I ran out of the house and saw rick, michonne and glenn helping Noah, I ran to them

"Tyreese" Noah said out of breath and pointing towards a house and we ran.

We got to the house and ran to the room where tyreese was, he walk against the wall bleeding from the bite on his arm

"Jamie Hold his arm out" Rick said, I did then Rick took michonnes sword and cut off Tyreeses arm, I put a towel and Noah held pressure as we ran to the front gate, once we got there, there were walkers outside the gate, Rick gave tyreese to Noah and yelled get ready. He broke the look on the gates and the walkers came in, I used my knife to kill some of them. Once they were all killed we picked him up and ran to the car

"Hold on!!" Rick yelled to tyreese who was coming in and out of consciousness. We got him into the car and Rick started the car and pushed on the gas but we were stuck he tried more time finally we got unstuck the hit the car in front of us, the back spilled open and walked heads with W's  carved on their heads. Rick backed up and started to drive

"Hold on Ty" I said to him then I saw his eyes close and him stop breathing, we stopped the car and the rest of the group came as well, we buried him and had a small funeral and which Gabriel said a prayer for him. I was angry, this world has taken so many lives, the walkers have taken over, we don't own the world the dead do.
