The alpha

Chapter 15.

Olivia

We were all sat around the dining table. Kaiden looked a little nervous and stressed. He was opposite me, whilst George was opposite Layla, who was sat next to me.

I sighed and broke the silence. "So what's the real meaning of alpha and Luna?" I asked barely above a whisper but Kaidens head snapped up to look at me.

He smiled slightly at me, "Well most werewolves are in a pack, a pack is a massive group of people that is basically family, you take care of each other and never turn your back on them unless something of a good reason happens. An alpha is the leader of the pack, he runs it. He sorts most of the things out whilst the Luna is his mate that is his other half in the leader ship."

Then I turned to Layla, "A mate is basically love at first sight. A werewolf smells or sees that person and they will know straight away that they are the only one for them. A mate is someone you have beside you for life. They're like your soul mate and if they die the other dies slowly after them because they can't live apart."

I frowned, "Are you a werewolf Layla?" I asked kind of scared for the answer.

She shook her head instantly, "No, I can promise you that I'm not, but I'm George's mate, he's the beta." She turned his head and they both smiled at each other.

"I was in this same situation as you, not so long ago and it took months for me to get over it and then, eventually I just knew that I should trust him and that he was going to be the only one for me. Not a day went by that he wasn't at my house begging for me to come out. Kaiden loves you, he would do anything for you okay? You just need to accept who he is because he can't change."

I smiled slightly and we leaned across the chairs to hug each other. When I pulled back, from the hug I faced George. "What's a beta?" I asked more open now.

"A beta is someone of a higher rank in the pack. We have the Alpha, which is Kaiden, the Beta or the second in command, which is me, third in command or the Gamma, Liam, and then everyone else are the people of the pack that do individual jobs for us."

I nodded and bit my lip looking over at Kaiden. "So, I'm your Luna?" I asked confused. He shook his head and grinned. "No your my mate and the packs Luna." I blushed slightly and nodded, looking down and playing with my fingers.

"Okay, is there anything else I need to know?" He looked around the table.

"Is there anything about the pack she needs to know?" He put an emphasis on 'the pack' and I looked at him confused.  They both shook their heads and I bit my lip, nodding.

"Okay, so what happens now?" He smirked at me.

"Your moving in with me." I gasped and shook my head. "I can't, I've got to put in a notice and I've got work so I don't think that's a good idea. Wait do you still work as a business man or was that a lie?"

He sighed, looking at me. "It wasn't as such a lie, since I am a very busy man when it comes to being the alpha. You will not be working anymore I've got enough for us both and more so, stop worrying, your going to put your resignation in on Wednesday." I looked down, already annoyed with him.

"Understood, baby?" Layla and George stood up feeling the tension in the room as I ignored him.

"Okay, so do you want us to go?" I whipped my head around.

"No, why should you have to go just because I know about his wolf and just because he's so hard headed and possessive." I said as I spoke about him but facing Layla like he wasn't even in the room.

I heard him growl. "Okay that's enough. Stop fighting, already. The same thing happened with me Liv, you'll be happier living with him, I know you will. It will be private as well."

I sighed and shook my head. "Even if you don't want to sleep in his room for now, I'm sure he'd make you a guest room so your comfortable but it will only last until you can't stand not being with him. You won't be able to get to sleep without each other." I sighed, explains why I could hardly sleep or that was probably just the fact of me finding out that my boyfriend is a werewolf, a very important werewolf at that.

I sighed and then crossed my arms facing Kaiden. "I want a guest room or I'm not staying and I'm quitting one job." He growled and shook his head.

"Your quitting both jobs and you can have a guest room. You have one job and your staying with me every night." I scoffed at his stubbornness and kept eye contact with him.

"Then the deals off." I smirked and what shocked me was, he did too.

"Oh babes it wasn't a deal." I glared at him as he growled from his chest again. We didn't notice that Layla and George were already gone.

"Both jobs and your sleeping in with me. Guess this will be fun, ay?" He said smirking as he walked around towards me.

"I swear to god, touch me and I'll scream." He chuckled and rolled his eyes. "I've probably heard you scream louder before baby." He winked and I glared at him, he's so irritating.

"How do you reject someone?" I rolled my eyes. He near enough roared and trapped me at the wall, with his hands at both sides of my head.

"You will not be rejecting me." I looked up at him scared.

"This is exactly why I'm not coming with you." I said. He growled and stuck his head in my neck, sniffing.

"What are you doing?" I asked him not knowing where to put my hands.

"Our mates scent calms us down." I sighed as he was sniffing and relaxing.

I gasped as he started kissing my neck on my sweet spot. I grabbed his shoulder but he grabbed my hands and slammed them to the wall. I moaned as he started attacking that spot. 

"K-Kaiden." I moaned out leaning my head against the wall to give him more of an access.

He pushed himself away, shaking his head. "Start packing your stuff." He sighed and I walked over to him.

"Kaiden?" I asked him reaching my hand out to touch his shoulder.

"Don't touch me, I'm struggling to stay in control. Go." I gasped and then turned to run. "Stop." He said instantly looking at me. "Don't run, we love the chase." He turned his head away and I walked quickly to the bottom of the stairs and then I walked up them, when I got to the top of the stairs I ran to my room.
