Kaiden

4 months later.

Everything was good between me and Liv. We are on track with our relationship and tonight I was planning on proposing to her.

I had booked for us to go for a meal at her favourite restaurant and it will be all fancy and prepared for when she gets there. We will be placed in the VIP area but I have booked it all out so it will be just the two of us.

I drove to the meeting my father had arranged with me and parked up.

I walked in with my suit on and welcomed the other pack leader who was there. He looked quite smug but I didn't think anything of it.

"Son, we have a proposition for you and one that you can't refuse." My father spoke seriously.

I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded for him to continue. "Lately we have found that rogues have been attacking cities so they could find Olivia, just because she is close to you and she's human. They see it as a sign of weakness that you have a human for your Luna."

I sat up and clenched my jaw to hold in the angry growl. How dare they question my mates abilities.

"This is where I come in. If you mate with my daughter, as she has happily agreed to, you will have the most strongest pack in the world, your pack and mine combined together. We'd be ruthless and no one would get passed. Everyone would forget about that Olivia human and she will be safe."

I thought over it and I knew I needed to act quick on it because I was planning to propose to her tonight.

I sighed and put my head in my hands. "Think about it son, she will be fine and his daughter, Victoria would make you happy."

"No one could make me happy except from my mate but, her safety matters to me more than anything else and for that reason I will accept your proposition and me and Liv will be over tonight." They nodded and my father looked over at me, smiling slightly.

I looked away as the door opened, "Daddy? Are you in here?" No. Please no.

The girl, Victoria walked in. One that I had already seen, one that I had already known of. Why was she here? Why is she calling a man that wasn't her father, daddy?

"Vic? Victoria what the hell is going on here?" She smirked.

"Hey Kaidey, I'm doing this for Liv and you of course." She smiled.

I shook my head, confused and overwhelmed with what's happening.

"But your George's sister?"

She scoffed. "I've never been George's sister. His family took me in when daddy was unhealthy and needed help to get back on his feet but that doesn't matter all that matters now is us. I knew me and that human would never get on. I'm just better than her."

I shook my head. What is going on.

...

"Is Olivia ready?" I shouted up to Layla, scared and worried of livs reaction about tonight.

The deal in the end was to not tell Olivia that this was for her own safety and that I'm supposed to just tell her I never loved her and that I just used her. My wolf was going against it but I knew that it was needed for her safety.

"Yeah she's coming!" She said as she ran down the stairs and I watched as Olivia's curvy body walked down the stairs in her beautiful tight white dress.

I don't know how I'm going to be without her. I knew it would take me a long time to not speak to her never mind living or looking.

I smiled brightly and she walked down the stairs and had gotten to me.

"What's up babe?"

"I just want you to know that you've been amazing to me and I will always love you."

She furrowed her eyebrows but then smiled brightly after. "I love you too Kaiden always and forever."

I smiled and put my hand on her back as I led her out to the car.

I opened and closed the door for her. I wanted her to remember this night and hopefully she won't hate me after this, although I know she will there is something in the back of my mind saying she'd forgive me one day.

We drove quietly to the restaurant, a few compliments and small talks here and there but that was about it.

"Reservation for Mr. Montero." The waiter nodded and led us to our table.

I looked over at Olivia she smiled over at me brightly as she chose her food.

"So I've been wanting to talk you about something."

"Me too really but you go first." She spoke nervously.

"Um okay well I need to tell you that I'm really sorry but there's someone else Olivia. I've realised you've never been my mate and that you were just a distraction." She looked at me and her nervous smile turned into one of anger.

"Are you fucking serious?" She stood up slowly.

The only way she'll try move on is if I act an asshole to her. I smirked and shrugged. "You felt nice what could I say?"

She grabbed her drink and chucked it over me and I didn't move, I let it happen I couldn't blame her.

Tears streamed down her face as she ran out of the restaurant. I sighed and held my face in my hands when she'd gone. I quickly paid the bill and walked out.

What had I done. Why had I agreed to that? I love Olivia and no one else but now I know she's never going to forgive me.
