Kaiden
I sighed tossing and turning in the bed next to the girl that wasn't Liv. Next to the girl that wasn't mine.
I needed to see Liv. I've been getting check ups from George but it didn't feel good enough.
I stood up carefully not to wake her and looked at the time. It was 5 in the morning but George said Olivia had been getting up early hours because she couldn't sleep.
I grabbed the top that I'd kept because that was the only thing I had of her. I was going to keep it but I needed an excuse to see her.
I grabbed my jeans and the top in my mouth and jumped out the window shifting. I sighed and ran as fast as I could towards the house.
Once I got there I shifted back and threw my jeans on grabbing her top in my hand.
I knocked lightly on the door hoping she'd be awake.
I heard the door unlock. I looked down slightly to see my beautiful girl looking run down. I sighed and tried to speak but before I could she slapped me.
I clenched my jaw but calmed down since I deserved that. I felt little fists on my chest hitting quite hard but it didn't affect me. I grabbed her hand, feeling the original sparks.
"Liv I-"
She was breathing heavily as she pulled her hand away faster than she'd ever done before.
"Don't touch me." She argued but only now did I notice the tears that had been streaming down her face.
She glared at me and crossed her arms underneath her breasts. I sighed as she spoke, "what did you come here for Kaiden?"
Shivers went down my spine hearing her say my name again as I grabbed the shirt in my hand and passed it over to her.
"I found this and I need to speak to George."
"You can't speak to him he's asleep and so is Layla." I walked past her although she tried to stop me.
"Kaiden they're asleep you can't just come in here expecting to be able to speak to him."
"I am the alpha."
She shook her head and put her hand on my chest to keep me from walking up.
"I don't understand why you think you can order everyone around when your a horrible man. You don't deserve to be alpha. You shouldn't think you can treat people like you do." I listened to her rant for another 5 minutes before I spoke up.
"I did have feelings for you." I still do I...wanted to shout out but I knew that I couldn't. "They weren't always fake I just found my mate. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings and I know the way I said it was a bit out of order but I really would like to still be friends with you."
I listened to her panicky heart beat, which confused me.
"No. You need to go now."
"But Liv you don't understand. I still want you as a friend. I didn't mean to use you until I found my mate and make you feel like you did. I did really like you but it just didn't work." I clenched my jaw as I lied through my teeth.
"I know when your lying Kaiden. I know we didn't mean anything to you. I was just someone that you saw at the bar. Someone that was a good fuck."
"No. You wasn't that at all. Never think of yourself as that low again." She glared at me as I did the same to her not liking the fact that she was so low on herself.
"It's fine because I'm already seeing someone." A shocked look overcome my face and I look in her eyes. Her beating heart told me she was lying so I smirked.
"Fine. Bring him over next week Thursday. Everyone will be there. I'd like to meet him and I'm sure Layla would like so too." A shocked look overcome her face. After a minute she regained herself.
"Fine." She smirked her heartbeat slowing down. Don't get me wrong I was taken back. Was she telling the truth or was she just trying to get to me?
"So. I'm needing George." I walked past her making sure to brush her shoulder on the way.
"I'm here." He said walking down the stairs with no top on.
I deliberately stood in front of Liv with a warning look on my face.
"I guess I'll be back after I've put a top on."
"Oh no it's fine. I'm going to Toms anyway so I guess I'll see you soon."
"Your going like that?" I asked jealousy written all over my face at her pajama shorts and her vest top.
"What this? Oh no. The clothes won't be on for long. He won't mind."
I winced at her words and growled slightly trying not to show my anger and scoffed.
"Bet he's glad that he's got a whore of a girl." My face softened as I saw her face drop.
"I guess your glad that I'm not your problem anymore."
Before I could even apologize she'd walked out and slammed the door. I sighed and turned around to face George as he walked back down the stairs with a top on.
Layla followed him and scoffed. "So you think it's okay to come into her comfort zone and do that to her?" She stomped her way in front of me and glared crossing her arms. "I don't care who you are Kaiden. Hurt my best friend and I swear to god-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence because George grabbed her from behind and whispered things in her ear to calm her down. She pushed him away and walked towards the kitchen.
"So you wanted to see me?" I nodded as we both sat down, Liv being on my mind the whole time.
