Kaiden
My wolf and I couldn't get over the fact that she had compared me to him. My wolf was infuriated with himself. He was ashamed that she felt that way about him.
He was running wild in my head, different thoughts of regret and guilt passed through from him. "Theo calm down. I'm sure she didn't mean it."
He growled loudly. "You even felt that she meant every word of it. There was truth behind her words and it has disgusted me. Does she think we have hurt her intentionally? This isn't right." He growled and shifted quickly, ripped through my clothes he jumped out the window.
Landing on all fours he sprinted towards the woods, trying to get there quickly. We felt the eyes of our mate watching us as we drifted by but it just made us more angry and upset with the comparison and the truth.
We didn't like it and I didn't even know if she was happy here anymore. It was only a few nights ago we were getting in really well. Am I that heartless towards my pack? I do care for them but do they not see that?
I stopped at a river part and sighed lapping up some water on my tongue.
I shifted back and got in the water, I tried to relax my tensed muscles by rubbing them slightly but it didn't work. I felt all the pain and I deserved it.
The stress of the pack and allies were on my shoulders, weighing me down. As mush as I tried to forget her words I couldn't, they just kept replaying in my head and her face when she said them.
I shook my head, screaming out trying to forget about the moment.
"Hmm, seems like someone's angry." I turned my head to the right as I heard someone talk up.
"Who's there?" A woman stepped up from behind the tree.
"Victoria?" I smiled brightly as my childhood friend walked out towards me.
"Hey! Want some clothes?" She laughed as she held some shorts out to me. I threw them over my legs and hugged her tightly.
"I haven't seen you in years! How have you been?!" She giggled as I picked her up and spun her around.
"I've been fine. I thought I'd come and visit since I haven't been back in a while." My smile faded and I sighed running a hand through my hair.
"You should come back Vic, things aren't the same around here. Everything's good now, we have many allies. Your brother has even found a mate, a few years ago like but you haven't seen him for what 7 years? He's gonna be ecstatic." She grinned.
"George has a mate? God who'd want to put up with that," we both laughed at that and I rolled my eyes.
"No I'm only joking. How is he anyways gosh I've missed him dearly. Is his mate nice? What's her name?"
"Woah Vicky, not all at once. She is called Layla and she is a lovely beta female. Her best friend, that I found a few months ago is my mate." Her smile faded and then widened once again.
"Oh my goodness! You found your mate! Holy crap! Why didn't I come back sooner?!" She squealed and hopped around excitedly.
I laughed at her as we walked back to the pack house. I told her about the situation Liv and I was in at the moment and we spoke about everything and just mostly caught up on things.
By the time we got to the pack house everyone was still out there and playing around instead of training.
I growled loudly. I searched the crowd and saw Liv playing with a young child. "What do you think your all doing?" The small ones ran off to their parents.
"We're having fun alpha." The pack gasped and small whispers went around at the shock of the disrespect from my mate.
I growled lowly and walked up slowly as I spoke. "They should be training Olivia. I thought you'd know that since you are the Luna." She glared at me and scoffed.
"It's a shame I don't know how to reject you." My face dropped and the pack members didn't say a word. She walked back inside and I growled to everyone.
"Go home!" They all quickly scurried away and I stormed up into the house.
I growled angrily, the thought of my mate going against me in front of some pack members.
I walked up into the kitchen and saw she was there with a glass of water in her hand. She looked over at me, angrily and then turned to walk away.
I grabbed her arm and brought her back as softly as I could, not taking my anger out on her.
She gasped and tried to grab it back out of my grip. "You can't do that Liv. It's damn right disrespectful."
"I don't care. That little boy didn't know how to defend himself. Just like me and other people who have gone through the same thing. You being the alpha and leader of the pack should have stopped it knowing that he would have got hurt. In front of people. So now people know that he's weak!" She shouted at me grabbing her arm out of my grip.
I sighed. "Liv he would have healed fine." She shook her head.
"You don't understand. Just forget about it." I stopped her as she went to walk to her bathroom.
"Stop. Talk to me." She scoffed and I had to turn my h
"No. You want to know why. Your not the one who's having to watch me bring a guy home after an argument. Your not the one who has no control."
I clenched my jaw to hold back a smirk and shook my head. "So your jealous?"
She scoffed, "Not at all. I'm just sick of the stupid thoughts you have about people being fine when you know they aren't." I growled at her slightly at her tone, my wolf didn't like the disrespect we were getting from our mate.
