9. Memories Aren't Always Cherished...

We arrived at Simon's house and we're greeted by Simon. We took a look around and he told us that we had one day to hang out and then it was time for work. But for me, I went up to my room, unpacked and started on a few songs. About an hour later, Zayn came up to see me and wanted to know if I wanted to come to the beach with them. I told him no, I found Simon's recording studio and got to work. The Simon came in to see what I was doing and I was just beginning my new song called A Thousand Years....

"Great song Lilly." Simon said out of the blue. He came into the recording studio and talked to me. Simon said, "So where do all of these songs come from?" I replied, "I don't know, I just write my feelings down on paper and it flows through a song. It's like my own world..." Simon smiled and said, "How come you aren't with the boys?" I smiled and replied, "I want to focus on this, I mean, it's what I love and I knew since I was little, I've wanted to do this for the rest of my life..." Simon nodded and said, "Well, work is tomorrow, right now, relax, sometimes you need to balance work and play..." I smiled and replied, "Thank You, Simon..." I decided to record the rest of the song later. I strapped on a bikini grabbed a few things and headed out to the beach." I had a cover up on and found the boys, I dropped my stuff and ran up to Zayn and tackled him. He fell and I laughed. He said, "Lilly, what are you doing here?!" I giggled and said, I decided to come and hang out with you guys, I mean, I have all day tomorrow!" We laughed and then the rest of the guys ran over to me and Zayn and Liam asked, "What are you doing here Lilly?" I replied, "Just wanted to hang out with you guys." We played volleyball the guys went into the ocean while I stayed and read a book, Zayn kept me company while I was there, he couldn't swim so he stayed with me, but then he decided to go get the guys, him, and me something to eat, he left and about 20 minutes later, Louis called me over to look at something, then Harry ran behind me picked me up bridal style and through me into the ocean.
Well, a little fun fact about me is that I am deathly afraid of water. When I was little, I saw a shark attack a person and bit me, also I was raped there. Yeah, I was about to run out but I slipped and fell on my face. I went into the fetal position sobbing hard, while the guys we're laughing until Liam noticed me and he ran over to me. The images we're replaying and replaying, over and over again. He whispered, "Lilly?" The guys crouched around me and I her Zayn calling my name. He ran up to me and held me close to him. He knew what was happening, I was crying and shaking from the cold and what I remembered. He said this over and over and over, "Everything will be alright." I stopped sobbing and then looked down. I was embarrassed to have them see me like that. I stood up abruptly, grabbed my stuff, and ran to my room. I changed, took a shower, and stayed locked in my room for a long time

Liam's POV
Louis had this "funny" idea where we would throw Lilly into the water, I told him not to do it, but he didnt listen, the plan worked until we saw Lilly crying. I walked up to her and called her name, then I saw Zayn running to us, he saw Lilly and scooped her up in his lap. He was whispering to her, the she stood up abruptly and ran to the house.
After a little bit I asked Zayn, "What just happened Zayn?" He shook his head with tears in his eyes, he replied, "Lilly is deathly afraid of the ocean water. When she was 5 she saw a man die right in front of her eyes through a shark attack and the shark bit her, then when she was 13, 3 years ago, she was raped in the water, she never went near it again, that's why she didn't want to come with us. She refused to talk to anyone but me, and since her mom and dad split, and then her mom dying, it's a hard life...."
I was shocked. I stood their speechless, I sat down and thought of how to fix this. The lads and I walked to the house in complete silence. We decided to eat and then tried to find a way to fix this. Zayn didn't talk to us for a bit and we understood, he just went up to our shared room. I talked with the lads and we all decided that we needed, well, they needed to go talk to Lilly. We went up to her room and knocked, she didn't answer. We went to talk to Zayn and he opened the door. I said, "We want to apologize to Lilly, but she won't open up." He said, "Of course she won't, let me go talk to her and settle this." He went up to her room while we tried to come up with a good apology.

Zayn's POV
I knocked on Lilly's door and said, "It's me." She opened it up with a tear stained face. She wrapped her arms around my neck and sobbed. I took her into the bedroom and we laid on the bed. She cried for what it seems for hours, I just held her close just like all those other times. She stopped and said, "Did you tell them?" I said yes. She nodded and snuggled into my side, her eyes we're puffy and red, but she never looked more beautiful. I kissed her forehead and held her tight. I whispered, "Everything will be alright. I love you..." She smiled and held me close. She pulled out of our embrace, kissed my cheek, and sat on the bed. She took my hand and said, "Thank you, Zayn, you have no idea how much you mean to me." We stood up, hugged each other and went to the living room where the other guys we're.

They kept on saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but Lilly smiled and motioned for them to stop. She said softly, "You didn't know, it's ok. No worries." She smiled and hugged them all, they all sighed with relief. We all decided to watch a movie and we, let Lilly decide and she decided on Harry Potter, she did love that movie.

During the movie, I kept my arm around Lilly, she didn't mind. We cuddled until she fell asleep on my shoulder, she drooped her head and I kissed her hair. I settled into her and fell asleep.

Liam's POV
Lilly asleep against Zayn, she looked so peaceful, then I saw Zayn fall asleep against her. I was wondering if she even would date me now.
