Tyler's POV

The next day, without sending a text to Sunny, I came by bringing her surf board which was surprisingly still with me. If I'm not that too obvious then yes, I'm using this as an excuse to go see her so sue me.

Waiting patiently after knocking on the door, I was starting to fidget with the board in my hands. I looked down at my outfit thinking if I looked alright. I was wearing a white tee paired with navy blue beach shorts and some blue flip flops. I wanted to look casual and simple and I hope this does it.

I could hear footsteps coming closer to the door and I quickly ran my hand on my hair to try to tame it a little. It's still a bit wet from my morning shower but I guess it looks good with my ray bans acting as a hairband to control my slightly long hair from picking my eyes. I think I need to have a haircut when I return home.

Home. It seems odd that referring my penthouse in Sydney as my home seems foreign to me. It just feels that this, right here, is home. Or is it because of one certain person? I really don't know.

The door opened and revealed Josh who was grinning widely at me. "Dude, how you doing'?"

"Hey! I'm good, you?" I replied smiling at him. I can't help but think if he's really gay because he doesn't really look like one but based on experience, looks could really deceive you.

"I'm doing great. Come in!" he beamed and motioned me to enter. I thanked and followed him inside and onto the living room with the surf board still on my hands. I think he noticed it and looked at me curiously, "going surfing?"

"Uh, no. Su—Starr left this a few days ago at my cabin so I was just, uh, returning it," I replied nervously. He just eyed me suspiciously for a minute and then smirked. Oh, he's onto me! I think he knows my real reason coming here. I should just have texted her first.

"Oh, ok. Let me just put this on her equipment room and I'll come back shortly. Please, make yourself comfortable," he said and left down the hallway and entered a room.

She has her own equipment room? This thought made me smile. She is really different. Good different. The living room is as spectacular as the first time I've been here. I sat there waiting for Josh to reappear. And speaking of the devil and he shall come.

"So, you came to see Starr?" he asked the moment he sat down while looking at the television. I was sitting down on the single opposite couch to him and muttered a 'yeah' while watching the movie he chosen. It was Captain America: Winter Soldier and I loved this movie so I inwardly pat him with his choice of movies.

"She's not here," he replied calmly and that made me turn to look at him.

"Oh. Okay," I said about to stand up. I didn't really like to impose on what Josh is doing so I decided to just come back home and continue to watch the movie there.

"It's fine. Stay. I got nothing better to do anyway. We could get to know each other," he looked at me shrugging with a small smile. He looked genuine so I nodded and made myself comfortable on my seat.

The silence between us is getting awkward with only the sound coming from the television until he spoke up and I thank the heavens for that or else I could have died with the deafening silence.

"God! This is awkward," he chuckled. "Well, all I know about you is that you're Tyler Thompson and what I know about the Thompsons is that they are insanely rich and famous with developing electronics and stuff like that." He said smiling and I nodded. After that, his face turned serious and deadly. Even though Sunny told me he was gay, he does look like a man who can kill you without a second thought with one left hook. I gulped.
