Tyler POV
Lounging on my bed after a quick bath with a stupid smile on my face was probably the best way to end my night. I can't help myself of what had happen today and just thinking about it or more precisely, her, made my smile grew bigger.
Her big brown eyes, her amazing smile and those inviting lips made my sigh happily every time. Bringing my fingers to touch my lip where hers was supposed to be earlier made me long for her and the simple peck on my cheek almost got me on my knees. With just a small touch, it brought me to heaven. I sound like a girl right now but I don't really care, it was what I felt but then her ex-boyfriend or best friend whatever just so happen to ruin my chance of feeling those red pouty lips.
Ah, Josh. I could punch him right now for taking away that chance.
I've been wanting to punch that guy since the moment I saw him walk in with Starr the other day. I admit, I'm quite jealous of the guy when I didn't know who he was to her family. To her.
I had the chance to study him yesterday at breakfast and he was pretty close to everyone present especially with Sunny. He keeps on hugging her, teasing her, making her laugh and just hovering over her. And he being a good looking guy made me rethink of my chances with her.
Earlier today when we were having our lunch by the falls, she mentioned that Josh was staying at her place until her parents come back made me break my cool so I finally asked her what he was to her.
You just want to know if she's single or not. Well, that was one of the reasons. Fine, yes! That's my main reason.
"Oh, are you and Josh together or something?" I finally voiced out trying to sound casual while playing with the grass and watching the enchanting waterfalls in front of me.
From the corner of my eye, I could see her move so that she was facing me and continued to eat her sandwich. "Hmm.. well," she trailed which made my heart beat faster and made me nervous about her answer. I'm so stupid! They're probably together!
"We were a few years ago," she continued and with that answer, I finally turned to look at her.
"Oh. That's cool," I said shrugging. That's cool?! Really Tyler?? No! Not cool at all! They have freaking history and I have.. Well, nothing!
She giggled and I could see her eyes gleaming. I wanted to smile at her because she just look so beautiful right now with her simple beauty. She doesn't even wear make-up but she still looks like a goddess. But I wasn't in the mood to give in to that. My chest tightened thinking about her closeness with Josh and that maybe, I don't really stand a chance even if I give my all.
"And now he's my best friend. He's the bestest friend," she continued with a grin. I just nodded and continued to mope about how I should just forget about Sunny. I can't compete with the bestest friend, I can't even come close if I tried. Just great!
"That's really nice. I bet he's the best, you're really close," I finally said trying to give her a smile which I know she could tell was fake but her smile just grew bigger and she nodded and giggled.
"Yeah. That he is," she said giggling. She's probably thinking about how perfect he is and how amazing of a friend he is. I just want to make her forget about him and maybe just punch him for having such an effect on my Sunny. I want to scream frustrated! She's just the first girl who had me hooked on for years and getting to know her slowly with each passing day made me want to want her more.
