Tarilyn was still giving Fallon the cold shoulder in economics class the next morning. Fallon wasn’t the only one getting the cold shoulder. Christian was too, but it was coming from Angelica. Seeing it for the second day in a row reminded Fallon she’d forgotten to mention it to Lucian and Griffin yesterday. With all the drama she dealt with yesterday, Angelica ignoring Christian was the last thing on her mind.

Fallon placed a hand on Seth’s shoulder and pulled him back. “What do you think that’s about?”

            “What?”

“Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed the way Angelica’s totally ignoring Christian.”

“I did notice that. Guess Christian doesn’t know how to give a girl what she wants.”

“I don’t think they ever went out.”

            “That’s not what I meant.”

“I’m scared to ask what you meant.”

Seth turned to grin at her. “I’ll bet you a blow job Angelica asked him to give her something, and he said his daddy wouldn’t let him do it.”

“You know Lucian will kick your ass if he hears you talking to me like that.”

“Only if you tell him,” Seth said and widened his grin.

Fallon rolled her eyes. “You’re such a pervert. I’ll bet that’s why Daphne dumped your ass twice.”

Seth’s grin faded, and his eyes narrowed. “You only heard half the story you know.”

Interesting, Fallon thought, and she wasn’t the only one who seemed to think so.

Though Tarilyn wasn’t looking right at them, the way she slid her eyes backward seemed to suggest she was hanging on their every word.

Lucian was the answer to the question of which twin would be waiting for Fallon after first period let out. Fallon offered him a wide smile. As equally as she loved both boys, there wasn’t any risk in being seen with him. With Lucian waiting, Seth tossed out a lazy goodbye and continued on to his next class without stopping. Tarilyn kept going too, though Fallon knew it was for different reasons.

“Guess we’re on our own since our friends ditched us,” Fallon said as she slid into his arms.

Lucian grinned down at her. “That’s not so bad,” he said and then placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

“Guess not, and speaking of friends, there’s something I forgot to tell you yesterday.”

            “What’s up?”

“Guess who’s not getting along this year?”

“You mean besides us and the God Squad?”

            “You’re on the right track.”

“Then you must mean Angelica and Christian.”

            “You already know?”

“I heard something along those lines.”

“So what do you think their deal is?”

“I don’t know yet, but I definitely don’t trust it.”
