"So tell me," I say. " How did you fall for me?" I ask as I rip off a huge chunk of cotton candy and place it into my mouth.
"Well - I don't -"
"Luke stop worrying about my ambivalent self that can't control her own feelings over her best friend. And you too. Slightly after the thing." I laugh
" Ok. Fine. It started the day I left for the US."
"Which was technically Christmas Day."
"Yeah.." he nodded.
"Anything special about me that day?"
"Well you looked gorgeous like always, you had the most brightest smile out of everyone, you made me laugh, you made me smile and shit myself."
I giggle. "Really? In the span of 8 hours before you left."
"You got me. It was Christmas -"
"Nope you're still lying."
He let out a heavy sigh. " My birthday. Because you were -"
"The only one who showed up.."
He removed his focus off the ground and locked it onto me.
"You ready to go home? It's been a long day. You need some rest."
I nod. " Think this day has been pretty chaotic enough. And I agree. I do feel a bit sleepy."
Luke holted himself off the dock and patted his black jeans to remove the grains of sand.
His arm extended to me and I grabbed a hold of it. " Thanks."
As we walked slowly back to our hired car I then remembered something.
"Hey let's take a photo. You know. Memories."
He nodded. "I don't see why not." he chuckled as I whipped out my phone and took the photo.
"Are you going to post that?"
"Of course," I laugh. "I'll tag you and everything."
As we reached the car I opened the passengers door and took a seat.
I unlocked my phone once again and opened up Instagram.

I laugh at the comments our friends left us. They are such geezers.
"Ok enough with the ig. Let's get going."

As soon as Luke stopped the car in front of my house I suddenly felt lonely.
After I step foot out of this car he'll be going back to his place.
"Hey can I stay the night with you? I actually don't want to sleep here tonight?"
"I actually have things to do at home. I have this task for my music course but if you want to I see no problem," he smiled. " I can always do it in my room while you rest."
"Sounds great," I smile. "Just stay here while I grab a few things."
"Doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere without you anytime soon does it?"
"Nope." I chuckle as I got out of the car and walked to the front door.
