Time Jump: Saturday
Jade
I open my closet doors, with a gush of wind welcoming my face. I sigh as I take a look at the amount of clothes in front of me. How am I actually supposed to pick an outfit for this date?
I turn back around, and pick up my phone on the desk.
I slide my finger across the screen, and open messages. Should I ask Perrie what to wear?
My fingers touched the keyboard in an instant until I heard a knock at my door.
"Jade, can I come in?"
"Yeah."
The door widens, and by the frame was my older brother Karl and my nephew Karl Junior.
"Hey guys." I smile as I pull in my brother for a hug.
"Are you excited Jade?" my brother asks as he plops himself on my mattress.
"Of course," I smile. " I just have no idea what to wear." I groan as I stepped in front of the closet, and ran my hand down the mass amount of clothes.
"Wear what you usually would. It's Perrie for god's sake not Louis Tomlinson."
"So a top and shorts?" I sigh.
"Not that. But perhaps a nice skater dress, wedges and a nice bag to pair it up with. No need to go all out with Perrie."
"I agree!" my nephew shouts.
I smile and nod. " Ok fine." I answer as I take out a white skater, wedges and a brown bag.
"Well we'll head out so you can change." Karl said as he picked up Junior and closed the door behind them.
I smile as I look down at the clothes sprawled across my bed. To be honest I think this would be a great outfit for today.
I just wonder how my brother knew so much about fashion. I laugh at my thoughts and got ready.

I step out my door with my bag hanging over my shoulder, my phone in hand and a smile on my face.
"So how do I look?" I say as I spin around.
"Gogeous." my mum answers as she carried on with her house work.
"Like an angel Poopey." Junior shouts as he wraps his arms around my legs.
I laugh. "Thank you Karl."
"I think your missing something," my brother says as he stood up and grabbed my flower crown off the table. "Here." he says as he placed in on top of my hair.
"All good?" I giggle.
"More than good. Greater even." he smiles as he opens the front door and guides me to his car.
I walked to the car with Karl and Junior behind me.
"Tonight we'll be driving you." Junior says as he attempts to open the car door.
"Thank you buba." I say as I open the door for him and he climbs in.
I climb in beside me and close the door as Karl hopped into the drivers seat.
"All good back there?" he asks as he turns on the engine.
I nod until I realise that he can't see me. " Yeah."

As we arrived at the Cinema I took out my phone to check if Perrie had left any messages.
For some reason there wasn't any.
"She hasn't left any messages," I sigh. "Should I give her a call?"
"Yeah why not."
I quit messages and opened the phone app. I pressed on Perrie's contact and it immedietly started ringing.
I pressed the cold screen on my ear and waited for her to answer. But all I got was the answering machine. I tried a couple more times till I gave up.
"Nothing?" Junior asks.
I shook me head. "Nope."
Karl removes his seat belt and turns to face me. "Don't worry," he told me as he reached for my hand. "Bet she's still getting changed. "Or her phone probably died on her."
"Well she does have a habit of forgetting to charge her phone."
"Exactly."
"Well," I sigh. " I'll go inside now. What about you guys?"
"We're just gonna hang out at Soft Play so Junior over here can play around."
I nod and got out of the car. I turned to the Cinema and walked toward it till I got inside.
I sat on the couch next to the cafe and connected my phone to the wifi.

The clock near the screen times flashed 1:30pm. I've been here for over an hour and Perrie hadn't showed up.
I figured that maybe she wasn't up for it anymore.
I felt my tears well up fairly quickly as I quit the instagram app and saw my lockscreen of me and Perrie.
I brang the tip of my finger to wipe away the salty liquid that was anout to leave my waterline.
1 New Notification
Karl: We're coming to pick you up. Are you ok? I'm so sorry.
I reread my brothers text over and over. I had no idea what he meant and how did he know that she hasn't arrived yet?
The cinema doors open next to me and my head shots up to see Karl.
"Ready to go Jade?" he asks as he sniffles and wipes a tear away.
"Why are you crying?" I ask as Junior suddenly wraps his arms around me.
He reaches his phone to me along with an unreadable expression that could mean literally anything.
I take the phone between my two hands and my eyes land onto the screen.
The screen was opened to his messages with.. Debbie.
"Why did Debbie text you?" I say as I feel a lump form at the back of my throat.
"Perrie." Junior tells me as he pointed to the messages.
I move my focus away from my brother to his conversation.
Debbie:
Please give Jade my dearest apologies Karl. Perrie and Caitlin were ready to go. But Perrie was just too excited. And she isn't meant for that. So before she could even step foot out the door.. she lost her breath and you could see clearly that her ankles were swollen. Even her feet and legs were affected. I'm so sorry. Please bring Jade. We're at the hospital.
I feel gasps escape me as I dropped the phone on my lap.
I shook my head. "No no please no," I say as I slowly stood up. "Karl, tell me this is a joke. This is a joke right?"
Karl pulls me into his arms and pats the small of my back. "It's not bub."
