{Logan's POV}
This isn’t the way it was supposed to go, I was to tell her when she was calm. When she could understand everything, when explaining it wouldn’t confuse her and give her a sense of betrayal. She looked at me like that now-her breaths were quick and emotions were everywhere. ‘Damn it.’ I looked over to Jack, he was right, how could I be so stupid, how?
A Few Hours Before
She ran off just leaving me here to take care of her bleeding Uncle and we just met. Funny, I looked over to the bleeding man and saw he seemed to only care for the girl. His bleeding arm seem to come second-‘Has to really be her father, no Uncle could care so much for one kid.’ I thought to myself- and come to think of it he began to look pretty pale. He tried to get up and chase after her but I held him back. No way this guy was running after her in his condition. “Hey let me look at that.” I said to him trying to get his mind off the girl-I just had feeling she could handle herself just fine. He looked at me and his eyes became distant as if he was remembering something. I ignored his look, this wasn’t the time to hesitate; the last thing I need was this guy bleeding out on me and the wrath of the kid upon me. I tried to examine the wound, but even in his condition that he was in, he flinched away.
Just as if nothing happened he snapped out of his dazed state and now looked at me with wide eyes. ‘What the hell is up with this dude?’ I wanted him so understand that he was bleeding and this wasn’t something to mess around with.
“Listen, you’re looking a bit pale and I’m sure you don’t want to bleed out here, so let me help you out. Alright?” I said to him in a way it would get through his thick skull-‘Thick skull, look who’s talking’ I said to myself.
“Do you know a Kayla Sliverfox?” He blurted out.
My heart stopped at that moment because I remembered her. Her smile, her joy, her love-what the hell was I to say she held my damned heart. I snapped back to the present to see him holding his mouth as if he created a great crime with it.
I held a grim face and replied “Why?”
He now looked away “She was my sister….”
I looked at him, his head was down. “I loved her.”
“I know….she spoke highly of you.” He replied with a sympathetic smile.
“How’d…?”
He looked at me and said “I’ll tell you once we are cleaned up.” He turned away and finished with “The house is just this way.” Pointing through the forest.

So I followed and once the trees cleared I was amazed by what was in front of me. A wide open space with a barn-that nearly, by the looks of it, looked a hundred years old and with paint that looked like in it was in a war with the wood underneath it. A few feet from the barn was a home, looking identical to the barn only lighter and a lot bigger. “How long have you guys been here?” The man looked back to me and then to the home.
