Eren's messed up life (Levi x Eren)

Burden

~ Levi's POV ~

I regretted what I said a his eyes softened and tears began to form.

"Eren I'm sor-" But he cut me off.

"No-no you're right. I-I should just die" He moves over out of the bed wincing in pain as he pulled out his IV, blood spilling from his arm onto the floor.

"Eren no what are you doing!?"

"Ending my useless, selfish, ungrateful life" Levi you're such a pillock! I watch painfully as he attempts to walk towards the door.

"Ere-"

"Don't Eren me!" With that he took in a deep breath and ran.

~ Eren POV ~ 

Why? Why am I such a burden? Why do I keep living!  

I'm running out of breath as footsteps rush up behind me, I ignore them and dash on forwards. I'd reach the exit in no time dodging the numerous doctors and nurses trying to grab my pale blue hospital robe.

"Eren!... Stop!.. Wait!... Please!" I grit my teeth I need to end this horrid life. I'm coming mum, dad, sister!   

I had made it out from the hospital and onto a large play field just opposite  only for my leg's to give way makings me land face first on the wet, muddy grass. "Eren!" I jumped back up, steadying myself for running off again but before I could take another step two arms wrapped around the back of my waist firmly. "I'm sorry, don't"

"Levi?"

 ~ Levi POV ~

I'm so horrid! I run up behind him and without thinking wrap my hands from behind, around his waist. 

He tenses. "Levi?" I let go and slowly turn his now cold, muddy, wet body towards me. "W-why?"

"Don't," I breathed out "I-I can't lose anyone else I care for"

"You, you care?" He asked in total disbelief.

"Yes Eren, yes I do" I look into his beautiful forest green eyes as tears come flooding out. I pull Eren  into a tight hug with him crying upon my shoulder.

"But-but I'm just a burden-"

"Don't you dare" Pulling him away I look deeply into his bright eyes "Say that, you'll never be a burden to me" This time he hugs me jumping into my arms squeezing me tightly, his body hunched over and his face buried in my chest. hands gripping my shirt, me doing the same in return while leaning my head on the top of him "Let's go home" 

"Yes... let's"

Eren got changed into some spare clothes I had brought along with me as I sign the release forms. Doctor's had told me that he had two fractures in his right arm and numerous of cuts all over his body. 

They also said they'd stitched the wound on his head together when his was asleep and that he can't do anything active encase it re-opens. 

I'd handed the receptionist the papers as she gave me a 'thanks' before flipping through the pages and typing away on her computer. I leaned myself against her desk until Eren exited the boys restroom. 

He look incredible, he wore a tight red and black checker shirt, his right arm in a cast, with blue jeans and some of my old beige sneakers which I was sure would fit him. His hair was slightly messy and a few bits of smudges blood and mud was seen here and there but apart from that he was handsome. 

He stopped in front of me and noticed me looking as his cheeks came the shade of red.

"Um" He said slightly embarrassed at my staring and rubbed the back of his neck until I noticed myself that I was staring and felt a sudden heat in my cheeks.

"Yes let's go, Farlan is outside waiting" I say quickly turning around and walking down the hospital's hallway.

"Farlan?" He asks, catching up to me, tilting his head to get a better look of me.

"He's the one who ran you over" He 'hummed' showing he understood as we made our way to the car.

Without giving him the choice to sit in the passenger seat he hopped in the back and gave Farlan a smile.

"Look Eren-" Farlan started before getting cut off by Eren who was chuckling to himself.

"No need for apologies it was kinda my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going"

"No but seriously Eren you could've-"

Interrupting by a laugh and arms wafting around the air he sighed, "Yer but I didn't let's say we're even okay?"

"And how's that?" Farlan questioned, voice bugged for the worthless apologies.

"Well you're the one driving if it wasn't for you I would've had to walk all the way home" Farlan only laughed along with Eren as we buckled up and made our way back to my house.

"Thanks again for the lift"

"Anytime, see you around Levi and stay safe Eren!" He shouts of waving us all a 'goodbye'.

"Bye" I called out as he pulls out of my drive and disappears from view.
