~ Eren's POV ~

We'd reached the top within five to ten minutes later. Me huffing and puffing in exhaustion and the constant cursed words flying out of Levi's lips up to the now visible, smiling Hanji. Taking no time to reach the top I collapse beside's the laid out picnic blanket, Isabel laughing to my reaction.

Sasha and Connie where slouched back against a tall oak tree rooting through a huge wooden basket of food and evenly sharing it out between the both and Levi, Hanji and Erwin setting out the sandwiches and drinks while Petra and Isabel whisper to each other, look at me and then burst out laughing for some unknown reasons.

"Right!" Hanji shouts out getting everyone's attention except for Connie and Sasha how have there ear buds plugged in "We have cheese sandwiches, ham sandwiches, peanut buttered sandwiches and jam sandwiches so pick your liking, we also have three cans of coke, two cans of orangeade and five doctor peppers!"

"Orangeade and a ham sandwich for me, please!" Isabel shouted out getting past them by Hanji.

"I'll take a doctor pepper and cheese sandwich" Hanji said to herself moving them to the side for her.

"I'll take the same" Erwin told Hanji how handed them to Isabel who handed them over to Erwin who murmured a thanks before unwrapping the tin foil and hungrily taking a bit.

"Just a coke for me" Levi told them boredly, Hanji rolling her eyes at him but nonetheless handing him the red, white stripped can.

"How about you Eren? There's ham? Another jam? Or some coke? Your pick!" Shaking my head I politely turned her suggestions down with a 'I'm fine thank you' "Oh don't be silly! I bet you've not eaten yet have you?! Her have my home made jam sandwich!"

Holding the wrapped up sandwich in silver tin foil I slowly, hesitantly opened it up, everyone's eyes on me. "Guys really?" Isabel said everyone noticing she was pointing out the fact that they were all staring at me "so..."

"Hold up!" Levi shouted out placing the can down and sitting down on his knees. His face one of 'I've just figured something out' "Aren't you guys meant to be in school? It's Wednesday right?"

Everyone nodded, Sasha and Connie now sat to the right of Erwin the fact obvious that they'd already finished there own food and now rooting around for more.

"Welp noph" Sasha said a mouth full of food, her head tilted back to keep the food in "T-the scholphs powerthers wenph dowth soph"

"Fuck sake Sasha swallow before you try to speak thats fucking nasty!" Levi complained but even I was having a hard time understanding her "No can someone please translate for this imbecile!"

Everyone chuckling but Sasha just pouting and shoving more food as she could possibly fit into her mouth and teasing Levi, Erwin answered his question and translated for Sasha;

"What she was saying is that all our parents got emails sent around this morning that school was closed for today, maybe even tomorrow"

"And thats because?"

"Because the school power went out" Connie added his part into the conversation, me still holding my untouched sandwich "Some say Jean and the others got to the schools electric system and messed around with it, other's say-"

"Meaning the teachers" Sasha pointed out.

"That-" Connie carried on giving Sasha a side glance of annoyance for her butting in "-something just played up and needed a reboot kinda thing so school's off for sometime"
