High Hill Of Rose's - Part One

~ Eren's POV ~

"No that's no problem at all. No he's still asleep, yes in a hour that's fine. See you soon" A loud sigh escaped from the figure beside's me "Tch. They never listen"

My body felt numb but at rest, peaceful, my eyes feeling to heavy to open but with the shuffling of feet around the house, my eyes were to curious not to open.

So opening one crispy eye I blink several adjusting to the blinding sun peering on through the curtains the sun rays falling onto my tanned skin.

Looking around at the blurry room I try to make sense of where I was.

"Ah. Morning" Levi says in a hushed tone walking over to opposite side of the bed, him already fully dressed and washed looking wide awake.

"M-morning?" Leaning over to the side table he hands me a glass of cool, fresh water which I take gratefully gulping it down that it disappeared in an instant "T-thanks"

"We'll be heading back out soon" He informs me "Petra felt bad of what that fuck-wit did to you and wanted to make it up to you" Handing him the empty glass he picks up some neatly folded clothes from the chest of draws at the other side of the room, putting the glass down before hand "We'll be going the High Hills of Rose's for a picnic, well thats what she told me, with everybody else"

"E-everybody e-else?" I stammer out, my finger's curling up the bed sheets, teeth nibbling away at my bottom, now bleeding, lip.

Levi sensing my nervousness in his words quickly corrected himself "No, I mean just Petra, Hanji, Sasha, Connie, Erwin and Isabel I'm not sure of Farlan yet for he's been to lovesick to remember us" I nod calming down "How about you get yourself cleaned up and changed and I'll wait downstairs for you, to head out?"

"O-okay" Giving me a thin smile he left for downstairs leaving me be to get changed.

So wasting no more time then need be I heaved myself out of the comfy, miss-able bed and picked away at the clothes. Stripping naked I pulled up some new, clean boxers and slim black jeans. Once buckled up and zipped I slip my arms through the long red, checked black sleeves of the checkered overlay, a white vest top underneath with the words 'TITAN' along the chest line of it.

With black ankle socks and my orange, brown high tops I lace them together and stretch out, bones cracking as I do so, getting ready to head down for the awaiting Levi.

Biting away at the inside's of my cheek, toes curled up in my shoes I came face to face with Levi, him smirking making my cheeks flush the bright colour of red. "You ready to go?"

Out of nervousness and embarrassment I went to nod and scratch the under part of my eye only to hiss in the throbbing pain and quickly retracted my hand from my face. Noticing the soreness of my eye every time I went to blink a needle like pain would shoot through it.

"Oi, you alright?" He asks pointing towards my eye, me turning towards the closest mirror to see a huge, ugly, horrible purple bruise surround my eyes "Eren?" my eyes stung with tears pricking away at them "Hey, don't worry what's wrong? Do you want an ice pack? Is it still sore?"

I backed away from the taunting mirror my hand covering my hideous right eye. Concern took over Levi's once calm face when tears formed a puddle in to my hand cupping the sore eyes.

"Hey! Eren!" Levi called out to me "What's up?"

"I-I" I'm ugly my voice tried to tell him but only came out as a blabbering mess, for all I wanted to tell him is he wouldn't want to be seen with me.

But as if he could read my mind he reached out the the hand covering my eye and carefully pulled it away, knitting our fingers together before he gave a small tug "Don't think this change's how I see you Eren" He tells me "I don't care what you look like on the outside, it's the inside that counts" The tears being held back with all my might he lead me to the front door where we exited the house "It's only a twenty minute walk down the road but I know of some short cuts, so..shall we?"

Nodding he locked up and lead me down the alleyways at the side of his house. The sun hid itself behind the hanging trees towering over us as we walked down the, looked to of never been touched, alleyway.

Pot holes and large rocks where dodged and pebbles where kicked across the side of the path now and then to what seemed to be boredom yet all the time we walked silently down the lane alleyway and down another two his hands never once left mine.

"So.." Levi's voice stood out over the singing birds fluttering their wings above us "I-I just thought to say-" on no, he's going to leave me "-thank you"

I was stunned by his thanks though didn't understand why "Umm..thank you?"

"For taking the hit for me yesterday, it was childish of you, yes but still so....thanks"

I smiled warmly retreating back into the calming, relaxing walk until we made it to the bottom of a huge hill "We-we don't have to-to climb this d-do we?"

Chuckling and rolling his eyes at me he let go of my hand, the warm hand over running with a cold sensation at it's lose "Yep!" He smirked "But...it'll be worth it, trust me" With out another word me legs followed after his up the step, long grassed hill.

The breeze blew into me thankfully blowing away any strands of my hair irritating my skin. White buds of flowers hanging off the drown branches of a small bush like tree as birds plant themselves in an already made nest for them, their home. Little one's feed from there mothers as she flies out for more in which to feast.

Long willow trees stand strong at different leaves of the hill, the green moss pointing to the top of the hill, the hill which holds the shining ball of the sun.

"Look! Over there! They're finally here! Eren! Levi!" Squinting up to the top of the hill I say two black figure waving there petit hand at us, more figures roaming around behind them.

"Took you long enough!" The voice of Erwin booms out down to us, sweat tickling down my forehead though Levi still fit and health to go on.

"L-Levi" I panted out before dropping to the ground and laying out like a star fish "N-no more" I whined.

Tutting he shook his head at me "Really brat?" He says crossing his arm trying to keep balance on the slanted hill "We're nearly there" He says "Your a quarter away, think you can last a bit longer?"

"Do I have to?" I grumble.

"Well by all means stay there I'll just be goi-"

"Wait!" I interrupted a flush of energy soaring through me "I'm coming! I'm coming!" I shout jumping up after him, jogging beside's him.

"Sometimes" Levi laughs out under his breath but soon stopped by Hanji's loud, thunder like voice.

"Guys Levi just laughed! No kidding I just heard it! Shit a brick I can't believe he laughed!" It was now my time the laugh when he muttered a load of curse words under his breath. "C'mon shorty move them little legs of yours and come up 'ere before all the foods taken!"

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME SHITTY GLASSES!?"
