❝Love is the sweetest of dreams,
and the worst of nightmares.❞
She came from the planet Onderon, a once savage world that was covered in thick forest as well as dangerous creatures. She lived in the capitol, Iziz, which was hidden behind enormous, stone walls. It was a gorgeous place, with waterfalls that seemed to fall off the side of the planet and people as colorful as the forest beyond the walls.
She remembered her mother, a gorgeous woman with long, flowing tresses of brown hair and dazzling green eyes, was the kindest person she's ever known. Her father, a brute of a man that stood over 6 feet tall, with a burly grey beard and thick brows that constantly made him look angry, had the softest brown eyes. Her brother, Zandro, had her mothers eyes and her fathers smile. He was always there to protect her against any creature or man that dared harm her; He was her protector.
She remembered the day they left her; It wasn't their choice, and she stopped growing angry after 2 years. They left the world, and the universe, traveling beyond life and to somewhere unknown. Taken from her by smugglers, killed in their fight to protect Zandro and her. She would always remember her father turning to throw her brother a glare, shouting at Zandro to take them away as her held the blaster in one hand, his other arm dripping blood down to the ground.
Zandro never forgave himself for running away, leaving his father and mother to defend themselves as he dragged the young, 10 year old girl behind him through the stone walls of Iziz. He seemed to carry the guilt with him through the years, even now, at 25 years of age, he had the look in his green eyes that said he was remorseful.
"Are you going to stop staring at that hologram and go to sleep anytime soon?" A soft voice chimed in from behind him. He sat straight, taking his elbows off the metal surface before shifting in his seat to look at her;
Her name is Avatra, and she looked just like her mother. Her soft brown hair was incredibly long, as she hadn't cut it in at least 3 years. Braided to the side, it fell down below her chest. Her eyes were a vibrant green, and held compassion as well as defiance. She grew up to be quite the charismatic young woman. Zandro pulled a small smile on his tired features,
"Eventually. I've been studying the tactics for the next mission." He replied, turning around to look at the hologram once more. Avatra quirked her head, stepping forward and looking for herself.
"Jakku? There's nothing on that planet." She commented, turning her eyes on Zandro. He nodded at this, placing his elbows on the surface once more before resting his chin on the backs of his hands.
"Exactly. It's the perfect place to rendezvous." He said, softly. Avatra raised her brow, turning around to lean on the metal surface, crossing her arms over her chest in the process.
"Who are you meeting?"
"I'm not meeting anyone. Poe, on the other hand, is." He replied.
"What are we getting? Is it so important that we have to travel out of the outer rim to some far flung rock?" She asked. Zandro raised his brows,
"You are just full of questions today, Ava." He commented, a small smirk playing on his lips. Avatra rolled her eyes, and Zandro sighed softly.
"This man, I've yet to know his name, claims to have a map leading to Luke Skywalker." Zandro stated, his face settling into a serious gaze. Avatra raised her brows at this,
"Luke Skywalker? But he's been missing for years!" Her voice raised an octave as she stood straight. Zandro couldn't help but smile at this,
"I know, it's incredible. I just hope he's telling the truth. We've been looking for Skywalker since the rise of The First Order." Zandro said, pushing himself away from the surface before standing. Avatra watched him, a glint of excitement in her emerald eyes.
"I want to go with." She stated. Zandro raised his brows at this,
"What? Absolutely not." He replied.
"Why not? Because I'm your little sister? I can surely handle my self, Zandro." She countered, crossing her arms over her chest. Zandro sighed deeply, running a hand through his messy brown hair before looking her over. He pursed his lips, before simply thinking for a moment. Avatra quirked a brow as she waited patiently for his answer.
"You know, you're right, Ava. 19 years old and you've grown into quite the young lady." He replied, a small smile on his lips.
"I can go with?" She asked, dropping her arms with a wide grin.
"Yes, Ava, you can come with. But you need to learn how to use a blaster before hand." He said, his tone was almost regretful. Avatra paid no mind though, her excitement clouding everything else in her mind.
"Yes! Thank you, Zan!" She beamed, jumping forward and throwing her arms around her brothers neck. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he embraced her in the hug.
"Don't make me regret this, Ava." He said, resting his chin atop her head. She was quick to pull away, looking up at him with her brows raised.
"I won't, Zandro. I promise."
