My Little Tangled

Chapter 4

Once Rarity was out of sight, Rainbow Dash rushed to her closet, and removed the chair from the closet door. She took a deep breath, and muttered "Ok." She used her mane to open the closet, and Sonic Rainboom fell out. Rainbow Dash gasped when he fell out. She then tied him to a chair with her mane, and flew to the ceiling. She pulled on the chair with her mane, and waited for Sonic Rainboom to wake up. Spike began to examine Sonic Rainboom. Spike tried many things to wake Sonic Rainboom up, then he put his mouth to his ear, and said "Wake up!" Sonic Rainboom woke up, and screamed. As he struggled, he said "Is this mane?" "Struggling...Struggling is pointless!" Rainbow Dash said from the ceiling. "Huh?" Sonic Rainboom asked. "I know why you're here, and I'm not afraid of you." "What?" Sonic Rainboom asked. Staying in the shadows, Rainbow Dash flew down from the ceiling. Then she slowly stepped out of the shadows, and said "Who are you, and how did you find me?" Captivated by her prescence, Sonic Rainboom just said "Aha." Becoming impatient, Rainbow Dash said "Who are you, and how did you find me?!" Sonic Rainboom cleared his throat, and said "I know not who you are, nor how I came to find you, but may I just say...Hi. How are you going? The name's Sonic Rainboom. How's your day going? Huh?"

Rainbow Dash just groaned in disgust, and held up her frying pan in defense. "Who else knows my location, Sonic Rainboom?" She asked. "All right, blondie-." Sonic Rainboom tried to say, but Rainbow Dash stopped him, and said "Rainbow Dash!" "Gesundheit." Sonic Rainboom said. "Here's the deal. I was in a situation, gallivanting through the Everfree Forest. I came across your tower, and-" He stopped when he noticed that his satchel was missing. "Oh, no. Where is my satchel?!" He asked. "I've hidden it." Rainbow Dash said. "Somewhere you'll never find it." Sonic Rainboom looked around, looked at a brown pot, and said "It's in that pot, isn't it?" Rainbow Dash panicked, and wacked Sonic Rainboom on the head, knocking him out cold. She then took the crown, and hid it in another location in the tower. Spike then went up to Sonic Rainboom's ear, and said "Wake up!" Sonic Rainboom screamed, and woke up. "Would you stop that?!" He asked. Spike just shrugged, and said "Sorry." "Now it's hidden where you'll never find it." Rainbow Dash said. "So, what do you want with my mane? To cut it?" "What?!" Sonic Rainboom asked. "To sell it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No!" Sonic Rainboom said. "Listen, the only thing I want to do with your mane is to get out of it! Literally!"

"Wait, you don't want my mane?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Why in Equestria would I want your mane?!" Sonic Rainboom asked. "Look, I was being chased, I saw a tower, I flew up to it, end of story!" "You're...telling the truth?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Yes." Sonic Rainboom said. "Rainbow Dash, I need to talk to you in private." Spike said. Rainbow Dash nodded as they moved away from Sonic Rainboom. Spike looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "I don't trust him." "I know, but I need somepony to take me." Rainbow Dash said. "Well, I suppose he is telling the truth." Spike said. "I think he's telling the truth, too." Rainbow Dash said. "But what if he has fangs?" Spike asked. As Sonic Rainboom struggled in his chair, Rainbow Dash said "He doesn't have fangs, but what choice I have?" Spike sighed, and "Fine." Rainbow Dash looked at Sonic Rainboom, and said "Okay, Sonic Rainboom, I'm prepared to offer you a deal." "Deal?" Sonic Rainboom asked. "Look this way." Rainbow Dash said as she turn the chair that collapsed with Sonic Rainboom to look at her painting above the fireplace. "Do you know what these are?" "You mean the lantern thing they do for the princess?" Rainbow Dash gasped, and said "Lanterns. I knew they weren't stars! Well, tomorrow evening, they will light up the sky with these lanterns. You will act as my guide, take me to these lanterns, and return me home safely. Then, and only then, will I return your satchel to you. That is my deal."

Sonic Rainboom sighed, and said "Yeah, no can do. Unfortunately, the kingdom and I aren't exactly simpatico." Rainbow Dash looked at Spike who said "Be assertive!" Rainbow Dash nodded, and pulled Sonic Rainboom up. As she brought him close to her, she said "Something brought you here, Sonic Rainboom. Call it what you will. Fate, destiny-." "A Canterlot pony guard." Sonic Rainboom said. "So, I have made the decision to trust you." Rainbow Dash said. "A horrible decision, really." Sonic Rainoom said. "But trust me when I tell you this." Rainbow Dash said as she pulled on her mane, and brought him closer to her. She caught the chair, and said "You can tear this tower apart brick by brick, but without my help, you will never find your precious satchel." "Ok, let me get this straight." Sonic Rainboom said. "I take you to see the lanterns, bring you back home, and you'll give me back my satchel?" Rainbow Dash nodded, and said "I promise." Sonic Rainboom just stared at the mare in disbelief. "And when I promise something, I never ever break that promise." Sonic Rainboom just stared in disbelief as Rainbow Dash said "Ever!" Sonic Rainboom looked at Spike who nodded, looked at Rainbow Dash, sighed, and said "All right, listen, I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder." He looked down, and then looked up at Rainbow Dash while putting on a smolder. Rainbow Dash and Spike just gave him a stern look. "This is kind of an off day for me. This doesn't normally happen." He sighed, and said "Fine, I'll take you to see the lanterns." "Really?!" Rainbow Dash said feeling excited as she him fall to the floor. "Oops." "You broke my smolder." Sonic Rainboom muttered in pain.
