My Little Tangled

Chapter 3

Somewhere in the Everfree Forest, Sonic Rainboom, Flim, and Flam kept on running until they stopped to catch their breath. Sonic Rainboom looked up to see a wanted poster, and ripped from the tree. "Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." Sonic Rainboom said looking at the poster. "This is bad, this is very bad, this is really dad!" He showed Fim and Flam the poster as he pointed at his nose that looked like a pointed clown nose, and said "They just can't get my nose right!" "Who cares?!" Flim asked. "Well it's easy for you to say!" Sonic Rainboom said looked at the wanted poster for Flim and Flam. "You bronies look amazing!" When they saw the pony guards see them, and going after them, they started running until they became boxed in. "Uh, all right, okay, I'll fly up, and lower a vine for you two to hold on, and I'll pull you two up." Rainbow Blitz said. "Give us the satchel first." Flam said. "Uh, what?" Sonic Rainboom asked. "I just-I just can't believe that after all we've been through together, you don't trust me?" Flim and Flam just stared at him as if he knew the answer. "Ouch." Sonic Rainboom said dryly. He gave the satchel to the unicorns, and flew up to the top.

"Now help us up, pretty stallion." Flim said. "Sorry, bronies." Sonic Rainboom said smugly as he showed Flim and Flam the satchel that he somehow managed to get his hooves on when they weren't looking. "My hooves are full." Flim and Flam became shocked when Sonic Rainboom had the satchel. When he ran off, Flam shouted "RAINBOOM!" As Sonic Rainboom gave the chase, the captain of the guards named Shining Armor looked at two of the guards, and said "Retrieve that satchel at any colts. The lieutenant named Derpy Hooves who was pulling Shining Armor's carriage looked at the lieutenants who are pulling the carriages for the guards, and said "You heard him! Let's get him!" Sonic Rainboom continued to run as Shining Armor looked at Derpy Hooves, and said "We got him now. Derpy!" Sonic Rainboom looked up, and saw a vine hanging from a tree. He grabbed it, swung around, and knocked Shining Armor out of the carriage. He landed on it, and cheered, but when Derpy Hooves heard him, she stopped running. "Come on, mare, forward!" Sonic Rainboom said trying to make her go. Derpy just glared, and she tried to grab the satchel, but Sonic Rainboom pulled away, and said "No!" Derpy unhooked herself off the carriage, and began to fight Sonic Rainboom for the satchel.

The fighting continued on the big branch hanging over a cliff as Sonic Rainboom said "No! Stop it, stop it! Give it to me! Give me that!" When he finally got the satchel back from Derpy Hooves, he said "Ha!" Suddenly the big branch broke, and they began to fall. As they fell, they screamed in horror, and held to the branch. When they landed on the ground, Sonic Rainboom recovered and hid in a cave covered in vines. Derpy Hooves recovered, and said "Hey, Sonic Rainboom! Where are you?!" When he didn't answer, she bgean to walk off to look for him. Sonic Rainboom quietly sighed in relief, and walked through the cave which turned out to be a tunnel. When he reached the end, he looked up to see the tower. He flew up to the window, and went inside. He closed the window door, and took out the crown out of his satchel. He sighed, and said "Alone at last." But before he could do anything else, Rainbow Dash went up to the thief from behind, and wacked him very hard on the head with a frying pan. When he fell unconscious, Rainbow Dash squeaked in fright, and hid behind a pony mannequin.

She looked at the unconscious pony, and approached him. When he didn't respond, she looked at Spike who said "Try moving his head." Rainbow Dash nodded, and moved his head. She was surprised to see that the thief looks like a male version of herself. Spike remembered Rarity talking about ponies with pointy teeth, and he said "Rainbow Dash, see if he has pointy teeth." Rainbow Dash nodded, and moved his lip, only to find no pointy teeth. "Oh." She muttered. She flicked Sonic Rainboom's mane, and gently approached him. He opened his eye, and said "Huh?" Rainbow Dash panicked, and knocked him out with the frying pan. She took a few deep breaths, and tried to put the thief in the closet a few times, but he kept falling out. After some unsucessful attempts, Rainbow Dash finally got Sonic Rainboom in the closet. She put a chair on the closet doors, and grabbed her frying pan. "Okay, okay, okay." She said. "I've got a pony in my closet. I've got a pony in my closet." She looked at herself in the large mirror, and said "I've got a pony in my closet!" She laughed, and as she pretended to talk to Rarity, she said "Too weak to handle myself out there, huh mother? Well, tell that to my frying pan." She accidently hit herelf, as she said "Ow." She spotted the satchel, and said "Huh?" She opened the satchel, and took out the crown Sonic Rainboom stole.

Rainbow Dash hanged the crown on one of her hooves as if it was a bracelet, and looked at Spike who shook his head. Rainbow Dash took the crown off of her, and used it to look at Spike as if it was a magnifying lens. Spike shook his head again. Rainbow Dash looked at herself in the mirror, and placed the crown on her head. Spike looked astonished before he shook his head. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash heard Rarity say "Rainbow Dash!" "Oh!" Rainbow Dash muttered as she ran to the window, and opened it. "Let down your mane, darling!" Rarity called out. "One moment, mother!" Rainbow Dash as she lowered her mane to Rarity. As Rainbow Dash pulled her mane up, Rarity said "I have a big surprise!" "Uh, I do too!" Rainbow Dash said. "Oo, I bet my surprise is bigger!" Rarity said. "I seriously doubt it." Rainbow Dash muttered as she finished pulling Rarity up." "I brought back parsnips." Rarity said showing the basket full of parsnips to Rainbow Dash. "I'm going to make hazelnut soup for dinner, your favorite! Surprise!" "Well mother, there's something I want to tell you." Rainbow Dash said. "Oh Rainbow Dash, you know I hate leaving you after a fight especially when I've done absolutely nothing wrong." Rarity said.

Rainbow Dash nodded, and said "Okay, I've been thinking a lot about what you've said earlier, and..." Rarity interrupted her, and said "I hope you're not still talking about the stars." "Floating lights, and yes, I'm leading up to that, and..." Rainbow Dash tried to say, but Rarity stopped her, and said "Because I really thought we dropped the issue sweetheart." "No, mother." Rainbow Dash said as she started to move towards the closet. "I'm just saying, you think I'm not strong enough to handle myself out there." "Oh, darling, I know you're not strong enough to handle yourself out there." "But if you just-." Rainbow Dash tried to say, but Rarity interrupted her again, and said "Rainbow Dash, we're done talking about this." "Trust me!" Rainbow Dash said. "Rainbow Dash." Rarity said. "I know what I'm saying!" Rainbow Dash said placing her hoof on the chair. "Rainbow Dash!" Rarity said getting angry. "Oh, come on-!" Rainbow Dash tried to say, but Rarity got Rainbow Dash to stop talking when she said "Enough of the lights, Rainbow Dash! YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS TOWER! EVER!" Rainbow Dash looked at her mother in shock as she lifted her hoof off the chair.

Rarity sighed as she sat down on a chair, and said "Ugh, great, Now I'm the bad guy." Rainbow Dash looked at the painting she made, and at the closet. She decided that it was best to beg for forgiveness than ask permission. She looked at Rarity, and said "All I was gonna say, mother, is that I know what I want for my birthday now." "And what is that?" Rarity asked. "New paint." Rainbow Dash said. "The paint made from the white shells you once brought me." Rarity looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "Well, that is a very long trip, Rainbow Dash. Almost three days time." "I just thought it was a better idea than...stars." Rainbow Dash said. Rarity sighed as she got up from her chair, and walked over to Rainbow Dash. "You're sure you'll be all right on your own?" She asked. Rainbow Dash smiled, and said "I know I'm safe as long as I'm here." Then Rainbow Dash packed Rarity's basket with food that would last Rarity for three days. Rarity got her blue cloak, and placed it on herself. Rainbow Dash gave her mother the basket, and Rarity kissed Rainbow Dash's forehead. "I'll be back in three days time." She said. "I love you very much dear." "I love you more." Rainbow Dash said. "I love you most." Rarity said as Rainbow Dash lowered her down with her mane. After they waved farewell to each other, Rarity began her three day journey.
