My Little Tangled

Chapter 7

As they walked down the tunnel, Sonic Rainboom looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "Well, I've got to say, I didn't know you had that in you back there. That was pretty impressive." "I know!" Rainbow Dash said smiling. Then she straightened herself out, and said "I know. So, Sonic Rainboom, where are you from?" "Whoo-oo! Sorry, blondie, I don't do backstory." Sonic Rainboom said. "However, I am becoming very interested in yours. Now, I-I know I'm not supposed to mention the mane." "Nope." Rainbow Dash said. "Or the mother." Sonic Rainboom said. "Nuh-uh." Rainbow Dash said. "Frankly, I'm too scared to ask about the lizard." "Dragon." Rainbow Dash and Spike said at the same time. "Nuance." Sonic Rainboom said. "Here's my question: If you want to see the lanterns so badly, why haven't you gone before?" Rainbow Dash chuckled nervously, and said "Uh, well..." She was suddenly interrupted by a loud rumbling noise as she said "Uh, Rainboom?" They saw the guards running up to them as Rainbow Dash said "Rainboom?!" "Rainboom!" Shining Armor said as he and the pony guards were running towards them. "Run! Run!" Sonic Rainboom said as he, Rainbow Dash, and Spike started to run. They ran outside the tunnel near the dam, and they ran to a bridge that was out.

They looked at a tunnel that looked like a way out of the dam, and Flim and Flam appeared through a boarded tunnel. "Who are they?!" Rainbow Dash asked as she looked at Flim and Flam. "They don't like me." Sonic Rainboom said. Shining Armor and the pony guards appeared behind them, and Rainbow Dash said "Who are they?!" "They don't like me either!" Rainbow Blitz said. Then Derpy Hooves showed up as Rainbow Dash said "Who's that?!" "Let's just assume for the moment that everypony in here doesn't like me!" Sonic Rainboom said. Rainbow Dash gave him her frying pan as she said "Here!" She then tossed a piece of her mane onto a wooden plank like a rope. She then swung herself to a nearby rock. Sonic Rainboom looked at Shining Armor who chuckled, and said "I've waited a long time for this." Sonic Rainboom began to panic, and then he smacked Shining Armor and the pony guards with Rainbow Dash's frying pan. Sonic Rainboom looked at the frying pan in amazement, and said "Holy sweet Celestia, I have got to get me one of these!" Derpy Hooves then drew her sword, and Sonic Rainboom said, "Ha!" As they fought, Sonic Rainboom said "You should know that this is the strangest thing I've ever done!" Derpy Hooves then flicked the frying pan out of Sonic Rainboom's hooves. "How about two out of three?" Sonic Rainboom asked. Derpy Hooves just pointed her sword at him as he gulped.

"Sonic Rainboom!" Rainbow Dash said tossing a piece of mane to him. He grabbed it, and she pulled him back as Derpy Hooves stared in shock. Rainbow Dash gasped when she saw Flim and Flam. She pulled on her mane as she said "Rainboom, look out!" "Whoa, whoa!" Sonic Rainboom said as Flim and Flam nearly got him, but missed. "Ha! You should see your faces because you look-!" He stopped talking when his guts hit a wooden plank. "Ridiculous." He squeaked out. Rainbow Dash and Spike cringed at the sight of Sonic Rainboom in pain. Derpy Hooves then hit the plank to get to the other side, unintentionally unleashing water from the dam as Sonic Rainboom said "Come on, blondie! Jump!" Rainbow Dash then jumped before Derpy Hooves was able to catch her. Rainbow Dash landed safely on the ground, and Sonic Rainboom flew down to the ground, and they ran. The dam then broke, unleashing water, Shining Armor, Derpy Hoof, and the pony guards screamed as they were wiped out. Flim and Flam got wiped out too as they screamed. Sonic Rainboom, Rainbow Dash, and Spike got inside the cave as the rock pillar that was knocked down by the water closed the entrance on them. They got to higher ground as the water got higher. They both tried to find a way out, but it was too dark too see, and Sonic Rainboom scratched his hoof when he tried to lift a rock. "It's no use. I can't see a thing."

Rainbow Dash wanted to try again, but Sonic Rainboom stopped her, and said "Hey, there's no point! It's pitch-black down there." Rainbow Dash started sniffling, and said "This is all my fault. She was right. I never should have done this." She choked on a few sobs, and said "I'm so-I'm so sorry, Sonic Rainboom." Sonic Rainboom sighed, and said "Rainbow Blitz." Rainbow Dash stop sniffling, and said "What?" "My real name is Rainbow Blitz." Rainbow Blitz said. "Somepony might as well know." "Hmm." Rainbow Dash said as she smiled." "I have magic mane and tail that glows when I sing." "What?" Rainbow Blitz asked. Then, an idea hit Rainbow Dash as she said "I have magic mane and tail that glows when I sing!" She started sing the song, and then she, Rainbow Blitz, and Spike held their breathes as the water filled the cave. Then, Rainbow Dash's mane and tail started to glow, making the cave glow bright. "Whoa!" Rainbow Blitz said. He quickly shut it to keep himself from drowning. They look down to see a small hole that was flushing the water out. Then, they removed the rocks to make the hole bigger, and they bursted onto the other side. They coughed the water out of their mouths, and Rainbow Dash said "We made it." "Her mane and tail glows." Rainbow Blitz said. Rainbow Dash smiled, and said "I'm alive! I'm alive!" "I didn't see that coming!" Rainbow Blitz said. "Rainbow Blitz." Rainbow Dash said. "Her mane and tail actually glows!" Rainbow Blitz said. "Rainbow Blitz." Rainbow Dash said. "Why does her mane and tail glow?!" Rainbow Blitz asked looking at Spike. "Rainbow Blitz!" Rainbow Dash said. Rainbow Blitz looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "What?!" "It doesn't just glow." Rainbow Dash said. Spike smiled smugly at Rainbow Blitz who looked at him. He looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "Why is he smiling at me?"
