Chapter 12

Back at the dungeon at the castle in Canterlot, Rainbow Blitz was still being escorted to the gallows when he noticed a ceramic animal in the hallway. Suddenly, Shining Armor and the pony guards were blocked when the door in front of them closed, and the other doors closed as well. "What's this?!" Shining Armor asked. He pounded on the door, and said "Open up!" Pappy Smith opened the little window on the door, and said "What's the password?" He closed it, and Shining Armor said "What?" Pappy Smith opened the little window again, and said "Nope." He closed it again, and Shining Armor said "Open this door!" Pappy Smith opened the little window, and said "Not even close!" He closed the window, and Shining Armor said "You have three seconds! One!" Suddenly, Dumb-Bell swooped in, and caught one of the pony guards. "Two!" Shining Armor said as Trenderhoof opened a cell door, and pulled the other pony guard in. "Three!?" Shining Armor said as he turned around, only to notice that two of the pony guards disappeared, and Rainbow Blitz just waved. Then, Fashion Plate opened the door, and knocked Shining Armor out with a frying pan. Rainbow Blitz smiled, and said "Frying pans! Who knew, right?"

Suddenly, some pony guards bursted through the door behind them, and Fashion Plate and Rainbow Blitz ran for their lives while Trenderhoof tried to lead them away. Suddenly, Cheese Sandwich mimed the pony guards to mislead them, and Big Mac charged at them, knocking them out cold in the process. Big Mac, Dumb-Bell, and Rainbow Blitz ran out into the courtyard, only to see more pony guards coming their way. Dumb-Bell placed Rainbow Blitz in a wheelbarrow, and said "Head down." "Head down." Rainbow Blitz said as he put his head down. "Hooves in." Dumb-Bell said. Rainbow Blitz put his hooves down, and said "Hooves down." "Knees apart." Dumb-Bell said. "Knees apart." Rainbow Blitz said as he spreaded his knees. He became confused as he said "Knees apart? Why-Why do I need to keep my knees apart-?" Before he could finished his sentence, Big Mac jumped down, and landed on the wheelbarrow, sending him flying through the air in the process. He screamed as he flew in the air, and he landed in a carriage. He looked at Derpy Hooves who said "Hi!"

"Derpy. You brought them here?" Rainbow Blitz asked. "Yeah." Derpy Hooves said. "Thank you." Rainbow Blitz said. "Don't mention it." Derpy hooves said. "No, really." Rainbow Blitz said. "Thank you. Uh, I feel maybe this whole time we've just been misunderstanding one another, and we're really just...huh?" "Are you done?" Derpy Hooves asked feeling irritated. Rainbow Blitz nodded as he said "Yeah, you're right. We should go. Suddenly, three pony guards appeared near the tower door, and started shooting at them as Derpy Hooves started running. More pony guards came running towards them as Rainbow Blitz looked ahead, and said "Derpy? Derpy! DERPY!" He screamed as Derpy Hooves jumped, and flew in the air while a little filly was watching. They landed on the ground, and Derpy Hooves started running as Rainbow Blitz said "Okay, Derpy, let's see how fast you can run!" "Okay!" Derpy Hooves said as she ran faster into the Everfree Forest. Moments later they arrived at Rainbow Dash's tower, and Rainbow Blitz got off the carriage as he said "Rainbow Dash! Are you up there?! It's me! Rainbow Blitz!" When there was no reply, he flew in through the window as he said "Rainbow Dash, I thought I'd never see you again! Huh?" He stopped in his tracks when he saw Rainbow Dash bound and gagged as she was trying to tell him to watch out. But he fell too late as Rarity snuck up on him from behind, and stabbed him in the stomach.

Rainbow Dash screamed in terror through her gag as Rainbow Blitz fell to the floor, and Rarity said "Now look what you've done, Rainbow Dash. Oh, don't worry, dear, our secret will die with him. And as for us, hmm! We are going where no one would ever find you again!" She untied the chain from the stairs, and she struggled to pull Rainbow Dash who struggled to get to Rainbow Blitz. "Leave her alone!" Spike said as he pulled on Rarity's tail. She kicked him in the stomach, and turned to Rainbow Dash as she said "Rainbow Dash, really! Enough already! Stop fighting me!" Rainbow Dash tripped, and the gag flew out of her mouth as she looked at Rarity, and said "No! I won't stop! For every minute of the rest of my life, I will fight! I will never stop trying to get away from you! But, if you let me save him, I will go with you." "No! No, Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow Blitz said as he groaned in horrible pain. "I will never run, I will never try to escape." Rainbow Dash said. "Just let me heal him, and you and I will be together. Forever, just like you want. Everything will be the way it was. I promise." "Rainbow Dash, no!" Spike muttered. "Just like you want. Just let me heal him!" Rarity just gave her a stern look before she agreed to it. She then bound Rainbow Blitz as she said "In case you get any ideas about following us."

Rainbow Dash went up to Rainbow Blitz as she said "R-Rainbow Blitz!" Rainbow Blitz coughed and groaned in pain as Rainbow Dash took a good look at the stomach wound, and said "Oh, I'm so sorry. Everything is gonna be okay." As she tried placing her mane on the wound, Rainbow Blitz pushed it away, and said "No, Rainbow Dash." "I promise you." Rainbow Dash said. "You have to trust me." "No." Rainbow Blitz said. "Come on. Just breathe!" "I can't let you do this." Rainbow Blitz said. "And I can't let you die." Rainbow Dash said sadly. "But if you do this-." Rainbow Blitz tried to say, but he coughed as Rainbow Dash shushed him. "Then you will die." He said finishing his sentence. "Hey, it's gonna be alright." Rainbow Dash said with a sad smile. Before she could sing, Rainbow Blitz said "Rainbow Dash wait." They leaned to kiss each other, but in the blink of an eye, he took a mirror shard, and cut Rainbow Dash's mane and tail. He then dropped the mirror shard to the floor, as Rainbow Dash's mane and tail turned from blonde to rainbow-colored. She gasped, and said "Rainbow Blitz, why?"

Rarity gasped, and said "No!" The rest of Rainbow Dash's mane and tail turned rainbow-colored as Rarity tried to wrap herself with the remaining golden mane, but failed as she started to age at a rapid pace, and said "What have you done? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Her mane turned gray as she ran to the broken mirror, and said "No!" She groaned in despair as she stumbled back. Spike quickly took a rope, and tripped her. Rainbow Dash tried to stop it, but Rarity screamed as she fell from the tower window. As she fell, she turned to dust, and it, and the cloak landed on the ground. Rainbow Dash stared in shock, and she quickly went over to Rainbow Blitz as she said "No, no, no, no, no, Rainbow Blitz!" She placed his hoof on her mane as she said "Oh, look at me, look at me, I'm right here, don't go, stay with me, Rainbow Blitz!" She started to sing the song, but Rainbow Blitz stopped her as he said "Rainbow Dash." Rainbow Dash looked at Rainbow Blitz as she said "What?" "You were my new dream." Rainbow Blitz said with a weak smile. Rainbow Dash choked on a sob as she said "And you were mine." Rainbow Blitz then drew in his last breath, and died in Rainbow Dash's embrace. Tears started to swell in her eyes as she held Rainbow Blitz close to her, and started to sing the last verse. After she finished, she started shedding tears, and on of the tears landed on his face. She placed him on the floor, and began to cry her eyes out.
