My Little Tangled

Chapter 9

-The next morning-

Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Blitz, and Spike were fast asleep when a waterdrop landed on Rainbow Blitz's cheek. He looked up to see a dripping wet, and angry Derpy Hooves as he said "Uh-uh?" As he tried going back to sleep, he said "Well, I hope you're here to apologize." Derpy Hooves then grabbed Rainbow Blitz who screamed, waking Rainbow Dash and Spike up in the process. They looked over to see Derpy Hooves dragging Rainbow Blitz away as he said "No, no, no, put me down! Let me go! Let me go!" Rainbow Dash quickly ran up to Rainbow Blitz, and tried pulling him back as she said "Release...him!" Derpy Hooves shook Rainbow Blitz from side to side, and Rainbow Dash pulled Rainbow Blitz back as they fell to the ground. Derpy Hooves then charged at Rainbow Blitz, but Rainbow Dash blocked her as she said "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Easy, mare, easy! Settle down! Whoa, whoa! Easy, mare, easy. Easy." Derpy Hooves then calmed down when she saw Spike as Rainbow Dash said "That's it." "You heard her. Calm down." Spike said. "Are you calm now?" Rainbow Dash asked. Derpy Hooves nodded, and said "Yes. I'm calm now." Rainbow Dash smiled, and said "Now that wasn't so hard, was it?" "I guess not." Derpy Hooves said.

"You're all tired from chasing the bad stallion all over the place?" Rainbow Dash asked. Derpy Hooves nodded, and said "I am." "Nopony appreciates you, do they?" Rainbow Dash asked. Derpy Hooves nodded sadly, and said "I just don't know what went wrong." Rainbow Blitz became confused as he said "What? Excuse me? Oh, come on, she's a bad pony!" "Oh, she's nothing but a big sweetheart." Rainbow Dash said. "Aw, shucks." Derpy Hooves said with a smile. "Isn't that right?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What's your name?" "I'm Derpy Hooves." Derpy Hooves said. "And you are right." "You've got to be kidding me." Rainbow Blitz said in dismay. "Listen, I have to take the thief to the guards." Derpy Hooves said. "Look. Today is kind of the biggest day of my life, and the thing is, I need you not to get him arrested." "What?! No!" Derpy Hooves said. "Just for twenty-fours, and then you can chase each other to your heart's content. Okay?" Rainbow Dash said.

Both Derpy Hooves and Rainbow Blitz frowned in dismay, and did a brohoof to seal their truce. "And it's also my birthday. Just so you know." Rainbow Dash said. Derpy Hooves nodded, and said "I understand." Suddenly, they heard the sound of bells ringing nearby, and Rainbow Dash became awestruck as she walked away. Derpy Hooves hit Rainbow Blitz in the chest, and snickered. "Ow." Rainbow Blitz muttered. Rainbow Dash was running to the entrance to Ponyville, and she looked at Derpy Hooves and Rainbow Blitz as she muttered "Wow." Rainbow Blitz walked to catch up with Rainbow Dash, but then he saw his wanted poster on the lampost, and tore it down. Derpy Hooves glared at Rainbow Blitz who in turn just stuffed the wanted poster in her mouth, and chuckled. She spited the wanted poster in Rainbow Blitz's face, and they started fighting with each other until Spike said "Hey, that's enough!" They obeyed, and punched each other once. Rainbow Dash entered Ponyville, but then accidently bumped into a few ponies as she said "Oh, oh, sorry!" She yelped in pain when some of the ponies stepped on her mane and tail. Rainbow Blitz picked up the mane and tail. He looked around, and saw four fillies braiding each other's mane. He whistled to get their attention, and gasped happily when the saw Rainbow Dash's mane and tail. They proceeded to braid the mane and tail, and Rainbow Blitz hid from the pony guards passing by.

The fillies finished braiding Rainbow Dash's mane and tail, and she twirled around as she said "Thank you." Rainbow Blitz smiled at Rainbow Dash, and Derpy Hooves wiggled her eyebrows at him. He just playfully pushed her away. Then, Rainbow Dash bought some fruit, and they ate it. Later on as Rainbow Blitz waited in line to buy the food, Rainbow Dash turned, and slowly walked to a mosaic of Prince Solaris, Princess Celestia, and the lost princess. A little filly named Diamond Tiara placed a blue flower near the mosaic, looked at her sister named Silver Spoon, and said "It's for the lost princess." Rainbow Dash looked at the baby princess on the mosaic very closely, and wondered why it looked so familiar. But then she became distracted by a group of ponies playing music, and she started dancing as Rainbow Blitz bought the food, and he stared in wonder. Soon, they started dancing. Rainbow Blitz gave Rainbow Dash a purple cloth with a yellow sun on it. Rainbow Dash then drew on the ground with chalk. They then had cupcakes, and read books together. They joined the dance with the group of ponies, and it ended with them holding each other. As the ponies cheered, one of the ponies said "To the boats!" Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash let each other go as they blushed in embarrassment.
