Chapter 6. I'm not weak

Lucy P.O.V

I ran and ran, tears streaming down my face. I finally stopped when I noticed the exit of this damn forest. I felt relieved, as it's dark now. I fell to the ground and cupped my face in my hands. I sobbed quitely for a minute.

I removed my hands and wiped my cheeks. I got up and headed towards the requestors home.

I wanted to give him the jewelery and I wanted my share of the money, even though I got the jewerly.

I found his house, and knocked at the door. After a while, the man in his middle 30's opened the door. ''Hi there, its me. I completed the job,'' I told him.

His eyes widened. ''Come on in, of course!!'' He finally said, directing me to his living room again.

I sat on the couch and he sat in the other couch opposite of me. I handed him the bag. ''Why are you alone?'' He asked, taking the bag.

I bit my lip. ''We all got lost in the woods and I found the thieves, I fought them and got the bag, now I've made my way out of the forest and came here to you,'' I explained.

He glared at me. ''Then you get the whole reward, correct?''

''No, I only want my share,'' I told him. 

''You're very nice, you know,'' He said handing me jewels. ''Arigatou,'' I said and took the jewels. 

''Um sir, you gave me 10,000 jewels too much,'' I told him.

''Thats for your good work,'' He said, smiling.

I smiled back. ''Thanks again, now I gotta get back.'' I said, getting up.

''Wait, its dark, shouldn't you stay here and wait for your friends?" He asked as he got up.

I would stay here, but I don't want to see them, not now, not today. Especially Natsu and Vera. I wonder if they're still in the forest, If they're coming here then I gotta go, I can't stay here.

''Thank you for your proposition, but I have to decline. I need to get going now, I'm sorry,'' I said as I exited the living room. He followed me and walked me to the door.

''Thank you for completing the job,'' He told me before I went out the door.

''No problem!'' I exclaimed and headed for the train station. I think there's going to be a train in about an hour, I need to buy a ticket and get to Magnolia.

Natsu P.O.V

After what happened with Lucy, I ran after her, but I lost her. I was scared, I really was. Did Vera write this!? Why would she do this? Why would she do this to Lucy? So many questions and now I need answers. I turned to face Vera.

I picked up the scrunched piece of paper and handed it to Vera.

''What is this!?'' I asked, nearly shouting.

She glared at me. I glared back. I'm not going to leave her alone until I get answers.

''Well, I just wanted her to leave her alone, thats all,'' She answered. 

Is she serious!? What? She wanted to separate me from Lucy? Thats ridiculous. 

''What!? But she's my best friend!? WHY would you do that!?" I yelled, throwing the scrunched paper to the ground. Lisanna picked it up and started to read it, her expression angry.

Vera smirked at me. ''She's smirking?'' I thought.

''Well look who's talking, you ignored her for 4 weeks since that white head came back from edolas and now you're suddenly her friend. Thats just too funny.''
