Chapter 13. Give It Time

Lucy P.O.V

I groaned as I felt someone shake me gently.

''Oh come on, who's seriously trying to wake me up right now!?'' I thought, annoyed and sleepy.

I ducked my head under the covers.

Then, I felt cold as the cover flew into the mid - air and onto the ground.

My eyes shot open, revealing a pink - haired idiot who was now smirking at me.

''Hey!'' I screeched, hugging myself as I felt cold.

He laughed and sat down on the bed. He looked me in the eyes and lay down beside me. I blushed slightly. I could feel his warmth. To my suprise, he hugged me. I could feel my cheeks burn up. 

''Am I really blushing!?" I shouted at myself in my mind. 

''Natsu, what are you doing!?'' I asked him, embarrased.

He gave me a grin. ''Just keeping you warm,  thats all,'' He simply answered, pulling me a bit closer to him.

My face became more red. Damn, is he doing this on purpose!?

''You know, I'm happy you aren't mad at me anymore, you believed me, Luce. I'm glad.''

I looked up at him. But do I really believe him? I guess I should, I've known Natsu for a long time, he was my best friend and he always saves me. I need to trust him, and have a talk with a certain someone. 

At the thought of her, my stomach turned upside down. 

Vera. I'm not too fond of her. She tried to break me and Natsu up. If she likes him so much, why won't she just confess to him!

But.. why do I get this weird feeling whenever Vera's with Natsu? Maybe I don't want her to confess to Natsu?

What am I thinking...

Am I jealous!? No.. no of course not. I mean, me and Natsu are nothing more than friends. 

Natsu gave me a concerned look as I frowned. 

''You okay, Luce?'' He asked.

I glanced up at him.

''Huh? Oh yeah,'' I assured, smiling.

Then, I realized he was still hugging me. I blushed a deep shade of red. But, what's this feeling.. in my chest? ''My heartbeat is faster than usual, is it a sickness?'' I wondered. 

I thought about it for a while, but focused more on the fact that Natsu has been staring at me for the whole time.

''Natsu..? Why are you staring at me? Is there something on my face!?

He chuckled slightly.

''No, I was just thinking you look cute when you day dream,'' He said, smirking.

I blushed. I didn't exactly day dream, but I know what he meant. And wait, did he just call me cute!? I blushed even more.

And wait, was he really thinking'? 

I bit my lip. I could see Natsu still staring at me.

I heard foot steps from outside. Soon after there was a few knocks at the door.

Natsu, alerted, let go of me and sat beside me on the bed.

The door opened, revealing Gray and Lisanna.
