Chapter 14. Fear me

Lucy P.O.V

So, I've been in the ward for about a week now, and I'm alright now. I'm pretty much healed, and I feel full of magic power!

I've planned on going on a job today, alone or not. I told Lisanna and she insisted to keep me company, and I agreed.  We've picked a job and we're leaving in about 2 hours. I also intend to go home to take a bath and pack up before we go.And maybe a talk with Vera included as well.

I sighed, glancing at the glass of water in front of me. I was at the bar, chatting with Mira. 

Mira eyed me, curiously. ''You okay, Lucy?'' She asked.

I looked at her. ''Yeah, I'm fine.''

She nodded and started wiping a glass.

I glanced behind me. The guild was rowdy as it was always. I saw Vera sitting at a table at the back of the guild, alone. Gray and Natsu were at it again beside the job request and Erza was eating her cake at a table with Wendy and Carla. Happy was, well, watching Natsu fight Gray.

Thats when the guild doors opened, revealing a short girl with purple, shoulder length hair.

The whole guild was suddenly quiet, everyone glancing at the mysterious girl.

She looked around and set her eyes on Vera, who got up.

''I need to speak with you, Vera,'' She informed, making her way out of the guild. 

Vera simply nodded and also exited the guild.

I turned around and glanced at Mira, who too looked quite confused. ''Mira, do you maybe know her? I wonder if she's Vera's friend or something,'' I asked.

Mira shook her head.

''No, but I have a very bad feeling about this,'' She said, putting the glass down.

I sighed and gulped down my water. A very bad feeling, eh? Not the first time. I actually have a bad feeling about this as well, perhaps Vera lied? Maybe she joined for a different reason that what she  had said?

Lots of thoughts raced through my mind, but I couldn't of course say which one was true for sure, or which one seemed more true.

Vera P.O.V

I crossed my arms and glanced at my short, purple haired friend.

''Well, are you done?" She asked.

''No,'' I replied.

She sighed. ''Vera, you came here for the guy you've been crushing on for a long time , you said you're going to confess to that guy, but you still didn't!?'' She snapped, her cheeks red.

I rolled my eyes. She can't be patient.

''Look, I need to do one more thing, I'm gonna come back soon, jeez woman,'' I told her, my voice bitter.

She glared at me, her sea green eyes full of anger.

''Okay, but come back soon, we miss you, you know,'' She said.

I smirked. ''Yeah, yeah. Now go home, Izumi,'' 

She smiled at me. She then made her way home.

I opened the guild doors and went to the table I was sitting at.

I could see some people staring at me, but decided to ignore them.
