Chapter 16. Lucy vs. Vera

Natsu P.O.V

Me and Lisanna walked over to Lucy's apartment because Lisanna was worried about her. To be honest, I was too.

We finally reached her apartment, we came in and looked around for her.

 ''Lucy?'' I shouted, looking in the bathroom.

''Lucy!'' Lisanna yelled, running around like crazy.

I could smell her scent, lingering all over the apartment, but i could also smell it from outside the apartment and also she wasn't inside. I panicked a bit, where would she go out when she was supposed to meet up with Lisanna at the guild? Also, her scent is mixed with another one, which worries me. 

''Lisanna, lets go outside, I caught her scent outside and It'll guide us where she is, but her scent is mixed with another,'' I said, heading out the apartment door.

''What if she's in trouble!?'' Panicked Lisanna, following me.

I was really worried about her, its not like Lucy to go out that late, especially when she was supposed to go on a job with Lisanna.

I panicked a bit at the thought and started to run. The scent got stronger, which is great.

Lisanna ran after me, trying to catch up.

''Natsu, is Lucy's scent getting stronger?'' She asked me, panting.

''Yes!'' I replied, running faster.

Lucy P.O.V

I've been wandering around this forest for a while now, I feel like i'm walking in circles.

Tired, I sat on the ground. I rubbed my cheek, which was still sore. I sighed.

How am I supposed to get away from Vera, who's trying to kill me!?

Thats when I heard a chuckle.

''Oh.. no she found me!'' I thought, as I stood up and looked around me.

''Found you,'' Said Vera, stepping out of the  shadows of the trees.

I gulped loudly. I think I should figure out her magic first, but, should I just ask her directly?

''I've lost some time, looking for you, brat,'' She said, pointing her big sword at me.

'''What magic do you use?'' I blurted.

''Damn, I asked her! I should've waited, oh well if she hadn't pointed that huge, glowing sword at me..''

She glared at me for a while. ''Why should I tell you?'''

I hestitated, completley not knowing what to answer.

I just looked at the ground. 

''Well, i'm about to finish you off, Lucy Heartfilia,'' She exclaimed, scraping my arm with the sword.

I whimpered and covered my arm. It wasn't that big but it bleeded.

''Damn.. you,'' I murmered quietly, but loud enough for her to hear.

She just smirked at me, her crystal blue eyes not that shiny and light anymore, they were darker and plain. 

Her blue orbs scanned me, from head to toe.
