Chapter 11. If She Wakes Up

Natsu P.O.V

I was carrying Lucy all the way, all the way to the guild. I have walked a long, long way now. I'm close to the guild, I just hope I'll make it in time. Lucy's breathing is slow, and so is her heartbeat, which worries me. Has she lost too much blood? 

I started to panic and walked a bit quckier.

''Whats wrong, Natsu?'' Asked Happy, flying above me.

''Lucy's heartbeat is slowing down,'' I exclaimed, my voice wobbling slightly.

Happy gasped.

''We need to hurry!'' He nearly yelled, tears in his eyes.

I then saw the guild, as I walked a bit faster. I could hear them from here, jeez those guys.

I got to the guild, I hestitated at first, but then realised Lucy's worse.

I kicked the guild doors open.

I saw Mira, who was talking to Lisanna turn to me. 

She smiled but then her expression was unreadable. She was just glaring at me and Lucy.

''HELP! PLEASE!!'' I yelled.

The whole guild turned quiet. Everyone turned to look at me, and the bloody and hurt Lucy in my arms.

I saw Erza and Gray, look at me in shock, covering their mouths with their hands.

I could hear gasps from everyone.

Tears started to stream down my face.

Wendy ran up to me.

''Natsu- san, what happened!?'' She asked, tears in her eyes.

Lisanna came running up to us, sobbing.

''Natsu, what happened!?'' She asked, sobbing.

My eyes hid in the shadow of my hair.

I.. how do I tell them?

Is it my fault...

But, when Lucy's gonna get better, how can I look her in the eyes?

How can I possibly even look at her after what I've done.

More tears streamed down my face.

''Don't tell me.. she's dead!'' Exclaimed Erza, running up to us.

Gray also ran over to us.

''No...'' I mumbled quietly, but loud enough for her to hear.

There was a minute of silence.

''I'm sorry,'' I managed to say, my voice cold and full of sadness.

Mira made her way towards us.

''We need to get her to the ward!'' She exclaimed, tears in her eyes.

She took Lucy away from me and carried her to the ward.

''Natsu, tell us what the heck happened!'' Yelled Gray, shaking me.

''Its.. our fault,'' I murmered.

''Our.. fault?'' Erza echoed, her voice wobbly.

''We kicked her out 'of the team, we called her weak, we.. we made her think she's worthless, she tried to prove she's not weak, she..'' I explained, my eyes full of tears.
