Ally's POV:
When Austin came home around 10:30 I was done with my shower, in my room, trying to think of anything else but what had happened.
And I just couldn't.
Everything lead back to Austin.
So I decided to write a song about that night. That always helps me.
Then there was a knock on my door, I didn't want to see him, and I diffidently didn't want him to see me like this.
I didn't reply to the knock. Eventually, the door just opened, and guess who's head peaked around it? Austin's.
"What do you need?" I asked, trying to sound as nice as possible, because I really shouldn't be mad at him, or sad.
"I don't need anything," he replied stepping in,"I just came to apologize."
"What for? I'm not mad or anything."
"You're not?" He asked, puzzled.
"Course not, you can do whatever you want with Cassidy," I faked a laugh.
He came closer. "Oh, well I just thought sense-," he paused,"if I had been you then-," he seemed to have a hard time making a sentence. Then he gave up and shook his head.
"You're just so nice, Ally. If that had been you with some guy, I would've been so mad. And not at you, at the guy," he sighed.
I felt the butterflies creeping up in my stomach.
Little does he know I've been crying this whole time. I'm not as selfless as he thinks.
I smiled anyway.
"I still want to say sorry, I shouldn't have done that. In a way I feel like I cheated or something...," he blushed looking away.
"That's really sweet, Austin," I smiled, standing up and giving him a hug,"but you don't have to feel guilty. You didn't cheat. Though, it would be great if Cassidy didn't make a habit of showing up on our... on our..."
"Hang outs?" Austin smirked. I laughed. "Yeah, that's what I was trying to say."
Suddenly, in one swift movement, Austin turned around and stood over my desk that I had been writing at. His eyes traveled over the paper with fresh tear drops on it, that I had scribbled my song on.
He snatched it up before I could stop him.
"Austin! Put that down!" I demanded.
He only continued reading, and there was nothing I could do.
"Ally, this songs amazing," he said looking from the page to me and back to the page.
"I didn't know you could write like this."
I shrugged and prayed he wouldn't even suspect I had written it about him.
"But who's it about?"
Good gosh. Why me?
"Uh, that's none of your concern," I said taking the paper from him.
He then stopped to study my face. "Have you been crying?" He asked touching my cheek tenderly, like he cared.
"No," I lied, pushing him out of my room.
"Now if you don't mind, I need to sleep."
"But it's only-" Austin began to say as I shut the door while he was in mid-sentence.
Austin's POV:
Ally's been crying, I can tell. Her eyes are swollen and red, and her lips are puffy.
And I was probably the reason. I feel really really bad.
And there's another thing too. That song Ally wrote was awesome, and it was about a guy who she likes more than anything. She talks about his smile and his eyes... And how he gives her butterflies.
I didn't realize I had that effect on her. The feelings mutual. She's just gotta go out with me. I can make her bend. I will.
