Second Shadow

Walking through a dark, lone street.
Security blanket corroded and tattered.
Feeling vunerable, like a pastel dove gliding through the fiery depths of hell.
A girl.
Trying not to make fear an object living amongst her brain waves.
Suddenly her fear cannot leave..it encumbers her very soul.
A man.
Dark and omnious.
His evil aura looms over the sidewalk like a Louisiana Bog.
Walking faster, the girl strokes her defensive side, putting up a barrier between her and the man, who's sadism was stretching out in a rope of spiney twine.
She begins to think herself doomed, yet much to her disbelief she leaves his presence unscathed.
A sigh of relief.
A glance in a store window.
A man standing behind her.
A familiar face.
A comforting, beard framed face with piercing hazel eyes.
She turns around, only to look upon emptiness and a dimmed street light.
Placing her line of vision back on the store window she realizes the reflection of the familiar man is gone.
She smiles.
He is her angel.
He is her safety.
"Thank you daddy"
She departs and makes her way to her car in complete comfortable silence.
