Dear father above
Please guide my love.
Through the Earth and sky
Please be my..wings tonight.
Let my affections be her light.
I wish I were there.
To run my fingers through her hair.
To let her know.
There will be no harm.
For I am there.
Let me be her blanket.
To keep her safe and warm.
For the evil that may swarm.
I will be her Shield.
Let her know, when I am in the field.
She is my lighthouse.
With her love I shall douse.
The enemy fire.
My heart will burn with desire.
I will fight.
With fury and might.
With courage I will stand.
Memories of her are the band.
That rev my heartbeat.
I will bleed.
This is my creed.
But when my time is done.
When all the battles I have won..
Fade away into a blur.
I will wipe away my hardships and come home to her.
When the remnants wash away from under each nail.
I will realize that all that hell.
Was worth it in the end.
I will descend.
Into her arms.
We will be one.
She is the reason for the battles I have won.
Please father, guide me home.
She is my home.
Amen.
