I marvelled at the sight of him. The devil, right before my eyes. The deal maker, the second god.

"U-um... You... Have?" I raised an eyebrow at the gigantic demon.

"Indeed, you came here to make a deal?" He smirked more.

"Um, y-yes..." Okay, he was a tall, creepy Mofo, you think I wasn't gonna be scared out of my wits? "I want you to heal my sister. The book I read for the spell to get here said you don't always take people's souls in return for requests. What will it take for you to heal her?" I asked in my most fearsome voice, well, I tried to sound fearsome, I probably sounded like I was on the verge of tears.

He smirked more and began shrinking down to my size. He shrunk until he was about 7 feet tall, and began walking towards me, "Nichole Grove Renolds, big sister and care taker of Leona Lark Renolds, that is you..."

I growled at him, yeah, as if I didn't know my own name. Jeez...

"It's Nikki." I informed him steely.

"Is it now?" he smiled mischievously.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "Yes, it is. Now enough of this, what do I have to do for you to save my sister?"

"Leona has the sickness, does she not?" He gave me a puzzled look.

"...Yeah, but you knew that. Now tell me what I need to do. I have to save her."

He sighed in defeat, "What are your thoughts on murder?"

I took a small step back, ".... Why?"

"Because if you're not intent on giving me your soul any time soon, and you still want to save your sister, you'll have kill a human being." He said blandly.

"..... Oh, okay." I shrugged. He raised an eyebrow at me, "Hey, I'm already guilty of thievery and trespassing, I doubt murder will ruin my reputation any further, not that I have a reputation..." I crossed my arms.

He sighed, "All right, but, there are three rules I must tell you about before any deals are to be truly made." I groaned slightly. If there was one thing I wasn't good at, (besides people) it was rules, "Rule number one, you cannot go back on any deals made. If you make a deal with me, it will be forever."

"Okay," I mumbled, "Fair enough."

"Two, all mortals who make a deal with me can never go to heaven or hell."

"Where do they go?" I ask as I cross my arms.

He looked at me plainly, "They go somewhere, which you will see if you make a deal with me."

I shrugged, nodding, "And the third?"

"The third is more of a notice than a rule, but once you make a deal with me, a part of you will change..."

"Ah, so I'll be a little more evil? Okay, I'll feel less guilty when I kill someone, then."

He frowned, "I meant your mortal body will change. Whichever part is chosen at random, it will change to the color of blood, reminding you forever of your deal with the devil..." he smiled evilly at the end bit so it sounded creepy and ominous, but it was actually kind of stupid.

"Okay, so do we have a deal?" I asked, extending my hand to him.

He chuckled darkly before grabbing my hand, "We have a deal." He shook it gently and a bright light, the same one from before, flashed and blinded me, and when I opened my eyes, I found myself back in the abandoned building, book still in my hand. I looked back over to where Leo was before, and surly, she was still there. She moved around a bit, yawned, then sat up and stretched. She looked over to me, almost confused about the tears rolling down my cheeks, "Nikki? What are you-" I didn't let her finish when I pulled her into a tight hug and cried on her shoulder.

I know what I had said before, but, to be honest I was scared to kill somebody. I had to take another human life.

But if we're really being honest, it was to protect my little sister, so they can rot in hell for the rest of eternity for all I care.
