i went to a dance and you were there,
beautiful but alone,
one without a pair.
you seemed happy without your throne,
and the jealousy was still in the air.
for him you'd give your backbone.
you'll still keep saying its not fair.
you danced last night on your own,
hugging yourself as far as your hair.
all i could think, was that god has shown
a foreshadow of you, living on your own.
