i stood there,
drenched in sorrow,
while the world slept with dreams of tomorrow.
my mind was begging to let go,
but I couldn't move.
i carried myself like a raincloud,
depression weighing me down,
and i waited until i could set myself free.
thinking of reuniting with happiness
that has been absent since i grew.
i wanted to cry
but i wanted to be okay.
caught in memories,
but I'm okay now.
