Chapter 19

James Pov

"James quick wake up your gonna be late"
I open my eyes and see Michelle's face beaming down at me. She leans down and pecks my lips and giggles before running off out the dorm. Her giggles echo through my head. I smile to myself.
I tear the covers off and get up. When I look down at my clothes I notice I'm wearing a tuxedo. I look up in the mirror and I see I've been completely dressed up. My hair is slicked and Combed to the side, I have a tux and a red rose in my pocket. I pull out the rose and look at it curiously.
I walk towards the front door of my dorm and I hear music. When I open the door I step into a ballroom. There's people everywhere in 1940's fashion and gentle swing music.
"Come on James" I hear Michelle's voice say but I can't find her anywhere. I turn back to my dorm and see it is no longer there but is replaced with people, laughing and smiling.
"James your missing out on all the fun" you can hear the smile in Michelle's voice yet I still don't see her anywhere. With the rose still in my hand I begin my search for Michelle. Everyone is dancing with their partner as I continue my hunt for Michelle.
As I look around I see a familiar blonde sitting alone at the bar, just smiling and admiring everyone. We make eye contact and her smile widens    
"I've been waiting for you James" she says and takes my hand. We walk to the dance floor just as 'Dream a Little Dream' begins to play. I look down at Michelle and she looks up at me with her beautiful eyes.
"May I have this dance?"
She nods her head and we begin to slow dance, her head rests on my chest. It's perfect.

"You ruined me James" she speaks after a while. My heart begins to race. She lifts her head and looks me in the eyes.
"You promised me a forever when you knew we were only temporary" anger and hate begins to fill her eyes her soft and gentle eyes.
"Michelle I'm-" the rose falls from my hands as she takes as step away from me.
"We spoke about our future together James. Did that not mean anything to you? Were all those I love yous just a joke to you? Was I just a little pawn in your game?"
"Michelle" I barely whisper. Soon everyone is staring, pointing and laughing at me. My head begins to spin as I try to run away but the run just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
"I will never forgive you James"
Her words echo through my brain and I lay there limp and useless.

Michelle's Pov

I wake up to screeching girls. When I open my eyes I see Cierra and Richelle standing over me. I smile to myself.
"Good your up" Richelle says.
"Not by choice" We all laugh, "now why did you two scream?"
"Because!" Cierra shouts. I wince slightly
"We'll tell you over breakfast now-"
"GET UP" they shout in sync. This can't be good. I smile and shake my head.

We're sitting around having a good chat while eating our food at some 40's diner we found just 20minutes off campus.
"So, why did you scream?" I ask with a smile. They look at each other and smile.
"Okay I'm just gonna come right out and say it" Cierra says. I look at Richelle with a confused expression. She just winks at me with a smirk.
"I have a date tonight!" Cierra says excitedly.
"Oh my my god with who? Do I know him?"
"I think you do, his name is" she teases
"Cierra I swear if you don't tell me who it is I will chop-"
"Eldon!"
My heart drops. My smile slowly fades. A lump grows in the back of my throat. Tears well up in my eyes. I'm utterly speechless.
