I lay in bed,
it's almost morning
and I've been up all night
wondering where you are.
I need you.
Why are you far away?
I roll over,
and lay my head on your pillow,
smelling you as if you were here,
right here beside me...
I need you..

I finally get up,
knowing I won't get a wink of sleep
laying here on your pillow,
and stretch.
I need you...

I walk into the bathroom,
looking in the mirror
and see myself,
all alone.
I need you....

I walk back into the dark room,
searching for the light,
hating how the dark
makes me feel all alone.
I need you.....
Why are you far away?
I find the light,
hoping to see you
standing there
looking at me.
I need you......
Why are you so far away?
Your not there,
so I crawl back in bed
with a nice book
to read.
I need you.......

My phone goes off,
and I grab it,
I know the ringtone,
but I don't believe it.
I need you........

I nearly faint
when I see your name,
the text saying a simple:
"Hey."
I need you.........
Why are you so far away?
I talk to you
until morning's first like,
then we both say fall asleep
after a "good-night".
I need you,
your almost home.
