Jealousy (Matt (Kylo Ren) x Reader)

"Matt can you pass me that?" You pointed to the spare wrench in his tool box. He nodded, handing it to you.

"Thanks," You smiled.

He smiled back and for a moment, you thought he was going to say something else. But fast approaching footsteps quickly snapped your attention from him.

"Well if it isn't my favourite engineer!
Y/N, it's like I never get to see you anymore" Hux said as he cheerfully walked up to you. "Oh and, uh, Matt," He added as an afterthought, nodding his head at him.

You heard Matt mumble something moodily under his breath as you stood up and wiped your hands on your overalls.

"Oh, c'mon, Hux!" You gave him a quick hug, "I saw you, like, last week," You laughed.

He grinned, "Yes, but it feels like forever," He rested a hand on your shoulder.

A sudden clearing of Matt's throat interrupted your conversation and you turned to see him stand up.

"Hux... General," He corrected himself, "With all due respect, Y/N are in the middle of repairing this control panel and we would like to get back to work," Matt looked at you before turning back to Hux, "Commander Ren personally asked for this repair and I'm sure he wouldn't be too pleased to hear that the General is holding up his best engineer," He finished, gesturing to you.

You looked down, "I think he's right Hux, we really should get this finished," You smiled at him, "I'll catch up with you when I'm done, okay?"
He nodded and took your hand in his, kissing it gently, "I look forward to it," He smiled, "I wouldn't want to keep the Commander and his wishes waiting," He sneered as he looked pointedly at Matt.

You waved bye to him as you turned back to Matt, "You're always so mean to him," You hit him playfully on the shoulder, "Besides, you're not even doing anything to help."

He rolled his eyes, "Hux is trouble, Y/N. It doesn't help that he's completely infatuated with you. I- I just don't want to see you end up with someone who's not even worth your time. He doesn't care about you like I do," He blurted out quickly. You saw his expression change as he began to process what he had just said, "Um...I mean, I- I -"

You stopped Matt's stuttering and pressed your lips to his gently, brining your hand up to rest on his cheek. He did the same, and with the other hand he held the back of your head.

When you parted, you spoke, "I don't know how many times I've told you that Hux is just a friend, Kylo," You smirked.

"Y-You knew?" Was all he could say.

"A blonde wig and glasses aren't enough to fool me," You laughed, "It was fun playing along though. I just wanted to see how long it would take you to admit that you have feelings for me," You kissed his cheek.

You winked at him before sauntering off down the hallway, leaving him open- mouthed as he watched you walk away.
