"You know, there's this one planet that is literally famous for food?"
"Really?" You asked, looking up from your datapad.
"Hmm, we should go some time. Together, I mean." The Knight added.
You smiled, "That's sweet of you, but Kylo is strict about leaving the Base, I doubt he would allow it."
"Since when do you have to listen to him?" He asked.
"Since... always? Come on, man, you know I work for him."
"But what about when you get time off?"
"Time off?" You scoffed.
He sighed, "Well, what about–"
"Y/N, did you get those reports I asked you for– Oh, what's going on here?" Kylo walked in and you breathed a sigh of relief that he had.
"I was just asking Y/N to have dinner with me some time," the Knight said nonchalantly.
Kylo looked at you quickly, his helmet off, "You asked my assistant to have dinner with you?"
"Is there a problem with that? It's not like I asked her to take her clothes off–"
The Knight went flying into the wall, landing with a loud thud.
"Don't you dare talk about her like that."
"Why? She's just your assistant," the Knight said, groaning as he clutched his head.
"Just his assistant? Why I ought to–"
Kylo placed a hand on your arm, stopping you. "He's not worth it Y/N."
You sighed, "You're right. Here, let me get you those reports," you said as you left the room and headed towards your office.
It was quiet between you two, both of you still mulling over what had just happened with the Knight.
"Are you... Mad at me?" Kylo finally asked.
"What do you think?"
"Y/N you heard the way he was talking! I wasn't just going to–"
"Just going to what, Kylo?" You stopped in your tracks, "He's right. I'm your assistant, nothing more. There's no need to treat me like I mean more than that to you!"
"Y/N, if I've offended you..." Kylo began.
"Offended me?" You scoffed, "You just confuse me! Why do you always have to get protective of me when I'm talking to a man that isn't you?"
"Because I'm in love with you!" Kylo finally exclaimed.
"What?"
